Fixed my PS5 Networking Issue! - Great Customizable Router
I had been battling a tedious networking issue with my PS5 where it would randomly not show images in the PlayStation Store and I’d constantly get the error “can’t find what you’re looking for” while browsing PSN.I was using the XB8 Gateway/Modem from Cox and neither PS support or Cox could help. So I purchased this router and it all went away. For reference I put the XB8 in bridge mode which basically turns off the Gateway’s WiFi signal and allows you to connect your own router while the gateway supply’s it with the internet. Plugged in a single GT6 router and the PS5 is working as it should.Setup was super easy. If you keep the same WiFi name and password all of your devices should automatically connect to this device and at least for me it’s supplied more consistent WiFi signal throughout my home. As for speed, it’s been roughly the exact same as the XB8 and I pay for a 1GB connection. Test results show 900+ mgbs speeds and I’m very happy with that.In the last month I’ve had no downtime at all, and I absolutely love how customizable it is. You’ll need to download the Asus router app but once you do it’s easy to set parental controls, change settings and enable/disable guest networks.I do wish there were a few more Ethernet ports but each one is 1GB and the WAN port is 2.5GB.All of my devices seem happy with it and it’s worked great in terms of range, speed, compatibility, and ease of use.Note*Turn off ALL of the gimmicky gamer stuff to see this things full potential. QoS, mobile game mode, etc.. In my experience they throttle performance and don’t give much, if any performance boosts.I do not have experience with mesh, but should my home require it, I’ve only heard good things online about the functionality and would happily buy another unit to get it setup.Great job ROG 👍

Well designed, aesthetically pleasing and strong signla
I purchased 3 of the GT6 routers to replace my WiFi 5 setup of 4 routers containing a mix of various models of ASUS routers setup in an ASUSMesh configuration. I had 3 in my house and one in my detached garage, all connected with wired connections. Using the GT6, I was able to blanket the whole house with only 2 of these WiFi 6 routers with full bars no matter where I go in the house. Again, I have them in a Mesh setup. Configuring the routers was very intuitive, as I've always found ASUS products to be.Not really important to me, but the ROG lighting can be programmed with various colors and patterns. Keep in mind that one lighting schema applies to all of these routers. I didn't find any way to set each unit to a different color/pattern. Again, not important to me.As of now, I only have basic functionality enabled on the routers. I intend to configure and use the VPN at some point. This router has virtually every function available to this class of router. I would highly recommend ASUS for you next router purchase.

I own an avg size split level home, around 1300 sq ft. Give or take. I have it set up near the center wall on the lower lever. (Closest to center of the house and out of the way) the signal is great through out the house and the older items that may be an issue with the tri-band, I made a guest network with the older WiFi name and password then set it to 2.4 GHz, unplugged old router and gave it a few min. Everything I either hadn’t connected to the router already, connected. I’m not a real tech savvy guy but I do have common sense to use google and you tube if I need to. Setting this up wasn’t bad at all, sure I had to learn the app and do a little research to figure out what I was doing but very pleased! Speed of it isn’t even really tested with my internet speed capabilities, but I am really hoping to be able to hang on to this for a long time and maybe one day I can test to see just how fast it can go. I would highly recommend the Solid version to anyone that wants solid WiFi with great range for a single router in a house that isn’t huge with a ton of walls. The capabilities of the router and ease of setting up guest networks like I did, so the items you either don’t use often, don’t think of, or can only connect to 2.4 GHz will reconnect without doing anything. (As long as you use the info of your old network) So far, I am extremely happy with this item. Small learning curve and little time spent researching, I think I have found my router and a good Brand to stick with.

It actually works like a router is supposed to
Such an amazing gaming router, even for just streaming, work, or surfing the web. It has a specific button for all of it. Recommend hard wiring your console or pc to it. Also had the most user friendly app I’ve seen

Works great using as a Mesh router to extend Wi-Fi
The ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router is a capable and speedy Wi-Fi Mesh extender. Mesh setup was ok. Not too confusing, not too hard. I use it with the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 gaming router. Since I don't use the GT6 as a main router, I cannot comment on it's performance or range, but overall, I would recommend this as a Wi-Fi Mesh extender.
