Discover the #BookTok sports romance series everyone is talking about RYAN She's a distraction, that's what she is. I'm the newest Captain of the Devils, Chicago's NBA team, and the last thing I needed this year was for Indy Ivers, my sister's best friend, to move into my apartment. She's messy, emotional, and way too tempting. But when the team's General Manager vocalizes his blatant disapproval of my promotion to Captain, referring to me as an unapproachable lone wolf with no work-life balance, I can't think of a better way to convince him otherwise than pretending to date my outgoing roommate. The only problem? Faking it feels far too natural. Having a fake girlfriend wasn't supposed to be messy but having Indy under my roof and in my bed is complicated, especially when she wants all the romantic parts of life that I could never give her. INDY I never imagined I'd be living with my best friend's brother, NBA superstar Ryan Shay. Even more unbelievable? He needs me to act as his loving girlfriend who's suddenly changed him into a friendly and approachable guy. Because, well . . . he's not. He's controlling of his space and untrusting of others. Our arrangement isn't one-sided, though. I'm in a wedding coming up, one where every one of my childhood friends, including my ex-boyfriend, will be in attendance, and there's no better date than my ex's celebrity hero. Blurred lines make it almost impossible to separate real from fake. Falling for my roommate was never part of the deal, especially when Ryan is quick to remind me that he doesn't believe in love. I'm a romantic and can't help fantasizing that he'll change, but soon enough, I find myself questioning if sharing a roof with my best friend's brother was the right move after all . . . Review: My book boyfie ❤️🤎 - Forever truly feels perfect when Ryan Shay is your boyfriend — or in my case, my new book boyfriend of 2026. I can honestly say there isn’t a single thing about him that I don’t adore. You know someone becomes your favorite when you realize how deeply you relate to them, and that’s exactly what happened with Ryan. He feels so me. I love how content he is with a simple, quiet life. His introverted nature, his gentleness, his thoughtfulness — everything about him radiates warmth. He’s caring, sincere, and undeniably a sweetheart. And the moment he built a bookshelf with his own hands for his roommate — or rather, flatmate — I was completely sold. That small, thoughtful act said everything about who he is. If you’re considering starting the Windy City series, take this as your sign to do it. Each character is beautifully written, the friendships feel genuine, the relationships are heartfelt, and everything about the story feels perfectly balanced. I’m honestly in awe. Review: Hell of a book - Hell of a book, loving it, you would laugh at so many lines.

Are you checking me out, Shay?
Ahhhhhh, my heart! God, this man......I am just swooning over here. I knew I was going to love this story the moment I met Ryan and Indy in Mile High, but, this was more than what I had expected. Wow 🥰 I love how they communicated with each other. That was so mature. Mental health awareness and fertility issues were some heavy topics that this book dealt with which were done really well. I hope more people read this book. I am loving the journey of self worth that these FMCs go through in this series. I don't know whatelse I want to say other than that these two made me so happy. They were just so freaking cute together. I wish we had seen the Maddisons though. I missed them. But, I am also excited for Kai's book and I hope we get to see these characters make cameos in that book.

What a ride 🩷
Oh, boy! Liz Tomforde delivered!!! This one is even better than Mile High. I've always had trouble picking out a heroine I can imagine I see myself in, but Indy is the first one... nurturing, emotional, romantic, loving romance books & sacrificing herself for her loved ones... & RYAN! Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, words would fail to describe how much I love his flawed perfection. What a ride! I have never clicked pre-order as fast as I did for the next one 🩷

⭐ The Standard for Sports Romance 💙🏀✨
The Right Move — Liz Tomforde ⭐ 5/5 The Right Move is easily one of the best sports romances I’ve ever read. Everything in this story feels perfectly balanced — nothing is rushed and nothing feels slow. At no point did I feel bored with the story. The romance and the conflicts are very well developed, and there’s no unnecessary drama. The writing flows naturally and makes the whole book incredibly enjoyable. One of the things I love the most about the Windy City series is how it explores the emotional struggles of the male characters. Instead of portraying men as emotionally invincible or just the typical “alpha”, the story shows their vulnerabilities — their personal struggles, family relationships, and emotional growth. That depth makes the characters feel very real. Ryan and Indy are beautiful together. I love how Ryan respects Indy’s time and boundaries and the way he loves her so deeply. Their relationship feels healthy, supportive, and full of love — not only for each other but also for their friends and family. Such a wholesome and heartfelt love story. I absolutely loved it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 Ryan and Indy
4.75⭐️ ✨Best Friend's Brother ✨Sister's Best Friend ✨Forced Proximity ✨Roommates ✨Fake Dating ✨Mental Health Rep ✨Basketball Player x Flight Attendant ✨“Sometimes the quietest love is the loudest.“✨ The Right Move is the second book in the Windy City series and it follows Ryan Shay and Indigo Ivers. Indigo moves into Ryan‘s place at his sister’s, Stevie‘s, insistence and disrupts his organised and lonely life with her colours and her mess. While they start out being not quite fond of each other they quickly find themselves in a fake relationship that brings them closer and closer together. After some time the question arises if the relationship is really as fake as they pretend it to be. And then there’s the point of the living arrangement only being temporary, aren’t they? ✨I absolutely adored this book, I loved it just as much as the first one and I can’t wait for the next. I love how Liz keeps including and representing different mental health struggles. How in this one, while for Ryan it was partially similar to Evan‘s struggles, he had a much harder time. Trying to always be the perfect man, not giving anything to make negative headlines about him, and now having the added stress of trying to be a good captain to the team. ✨I adored Indy‘s character, her being quite relatable for a lot of us book girlies. It was so funny how she made a “How to be a book boyfriend” bucket list for Ryan and how she used romance novels to escape reality. I also loved how she got Ryan back to feeling more and how she slowly brought him back to life while also struggling with her own issues like infertility, being cheated on, and being alone for the first time in 6 years. ✨Ryan was such a sweetheart, adapting his love language to whatever Indy needed, whether that were small things, like making her a coffee every morning, taking care of her when she was sick, or building her a new bookshelf and learning how to take care of her plants. I also loved how he made her a bucket list so that she could learn to be alone and not feel bad about herself and her situation. How he paid for her fertility treatment and how he bought them a house when they hadn’t even officially made their relationship real. I also adored his relationship with Stevie and how he later saw Evan as a brother. ✨"You can't stop being who you are because someone else thinks it's too much, Ind. He can go find less."✨

A great read! Ryan Shay for the win!
What a wonderful read! I was instantly hooked and honestly couldn’t get enough. After Indy’s relationship of 6 six years, suddenly ends (not the best way) her best friend helps her find a place to live-with her twin brother, Ryan Shay. NBAs golden boy, private, closed off, and so guarded. He craves control in his life and has a soul focus on basketball-until Indy is thrown into his life and takes him by storm. These two couldn’t be more opposite if they tried and it made for the most incredible story. I loved their playful banter, subtle flirting and laughable moments. Their lives were thrust together; the attraction, chemistry and connection is undeniable! Both Indy and Ryan had events from their past that left them guarded, resistant to love and relationships. As they grew to know one another on a deeper level, they brought the best out of each other (and themselves) while providing a safe space to be open and get back to their true selves. I love Ryan so much, this man was beyond sweet in the best ways, while grumbling about it- but the way he melted for Indy was amazing. He supported her, cared for her and never went without telling her how smart and special she was. They way he helped her in so many ways was beautiful. It was like Indy brought Ryan back to life, she was a wonderful character. Smart, loving, fun and genuine. You couldn’t help but feel for her-and cheer her on during her journey. These two were such a perfect match, and I loved watching them figure that out as they got the HEA they deserved. It was so great seeing the main couple and side characters from book 1, along with meeting new ones. I’ve enjoyed being in this world and have been told book 3 is a favourite. With how I enjoyed this one, I am excited to jump into Kai’s story.
