This product is a live product and must be used within 30 days. Review: The best way to seed coralline algae into your tank - This is a great product for helping seed a reef tank with real coralline algae spores. I like that it is not just a basic calcium or magnesium additive, but actually contains live coralline algae spores designed to help establish that natural purple reef look over time. I used it for my new saltwater reef tank rockwork, and it worked just as well as when I used it in the past for a tank that refused to grow coralline and was shocked to actually see coralline show up a month or 2 later, that tank literally had no growth before that and it was set up for a few years, so definitely a believer in this stuff and will use it on all future tanks. Like anything living in an aquarium, it still takes time. Stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, lighting, and overall tank conditions still matter. But as a seeding product, this is an amazing coralline algae starter to speed up that long process. Overall, I am very happy with it. It is easy to use, reef-specific, and much more appealing than relying only on random hitchhikers or waiting forever for coralline to spread naturally. Review: Great Stuff!! - Great Coraline algae starter! Works great and customer service is amazing. Would recommend to a friend! ## Features - 100% Live Spores Not A Chemical Additive - Unlike calcium-based accelerators, every bottle contains living, lab-cultured Coralline Algae spores to physically introduce the biology needed to turn white dry rock into a colorful living live rock reef - Contains 8 Purple Helix Species - Includes 8 distinct species of coralline algae chosen to provide a vibrant mix of purple and violet hues that look great and grow slowly, which gives it its bright colors and makes glass cleanings needed less often - The Fastest Way to Add Vibrant Hues of Purple Lavender and Violet Colors to Your Saltwater Aquarium Reef Tank - The Only Product that Contains Live Coralline Algae Spores, Not Just Calcium and Magnessium Like Algae Accelerators - Includes Live Nitrifying Bacteria that will Rapidly Establish New Tanks and Improve the Biome in Existing Aquariums ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C98S188S | | Allergen Information | Allergen-Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #38,241 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #316 in Aquarium Water Treatments | | Brand | ARC Reef | | Brand Name | ARC Reef | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 148 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00860003440964 | | Included Components | Instructions and 9 inch brush | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Weight | 14 ounces | | Liquid Volume | 8 fluid ounces | | Manufacturer | ARC Reef | | Manufacturer Part Number | ARCCAPLUS8OZ | | Model Number | ARCCAPLUS8OZ | | Pet Type | Fish | | Target Species | Coralline Algae | | Unit Count | 8 Fluid Ounces | | Warranty Description | 1 year manufacturer | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ARC Reef - **Item Form:** Liquid - **Item Weight:** 14 ounces - **Liquid Volume:** 8 fluid ounces - **Unit Count:** 8 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![Coralline Algae in a Bottle - Purple Helix, Live Spores and Nitrifying Bacteria for Saltwater Reef Tanks, Seeds Dry Rock with Vibrant Purple Coralline, Treats Up to 50 Gallons, Brush Included - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41V1i-uOHLL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best way to seed coralline algae into your tank *by Y***N on July 22, 2026* This is a great product for helping seed a reef tank with real coralline algae spores. Works great and customer service is amazing. Would recommend to a friend! ### ⭐ Doesn’t work *by A***Y on January 17, 2025* I have a very good reef. I have been doing this for over 17 years, am a chemist, and have worked in the industry. I thought this would be a great product to try as all my parameters have been perfect I just didn’t have any corraline. This product did not work. At all. I contacted the manufacturer 8 weeks in and they told me I hadn’t waited long enough (fair enough) but now it’s been 4 months and there isn’t a spot of coralline. I contacted the manufacturer twice now after and have gotten no response and they won’t refund my money.
