This is the perfect size for work from home! Simple to use!
So I learned a few things already. The instructions do say to oil it and gives you a schedule for the future. It doesn’t run smoother after being oiled. If you walk toward the back of the walking area, it doesn’t like that so much so you do want to stay front and centered. It’s more lightweight than I expected and I love that! It slide really easily under and out from my bed. It’s easy to turn on and just get started going. Its lowest speed is .6 and I found that 1.2 to 1.8 is a good walking speed while I’m working. It’s quiet too other than you can hear the obvious sliding of the walking pad go around. That’s to be expected though. Shipping was excellent, the walking pad came undamaged even though the box was kind of beat up. It was packaged really well actually. I was happy about the amount of packing materials was just right in my opinion. You do need to get two AAA batteries, they are not included. We already had some. I think this was honestly a great process too. I got it at the same time a coupon was going on so that was a nice incentive on top. I’ve already convinced my mom to buy one for herself too! This is perfect for getting a simple body movement going at home at any time!

Almost perfect
I needed to get into some sort of exercise routine but my neighborhood has been going downhill lately so this is ideal for me. This "walker" is the best thing ever! It is smooth walking, easy to operate, a little bit heavy for my elderly self but I can manage it OK. At first I tried to tuck it away under a large chair but maneuvering was difficult, so I have it propped up on its side against the chair instead. I love that it has readings to tell me how many calories I've burnt, how far I have walked and for how much time I have walked. The beeping only happens when I use the remote control and it's not too loud, yet it is loud enough for me to hear. In other words, not the least bit annoying to me. The ONLY problem with this is that it has no 'pause' button. So I have to turn it OFF if I have to interrupt briefly to let a dog in or out, or to answer the door, etc., so when I come back to it, I have to start all over from the beginning with nothing accumulated from my first few minutes of walking activity. Other than that I think it's THE perfect thing for me! getting exercise every day without having to leave my home. UPDATE: If you are a little up in age as I am (68), this machine is great for walking but there's nothing to hold on to. So if you're concerned about balance, falling, breaking bones, etc...My boyfriend is a landlord and tenants leave items behind when they move out. He keeps many of these if they are in decent shape. He brought me a 'walker' to position on both sides of this 'treadmill'. The walker has to be wider than 22 inches to fit. But it has made a big difference for me, not having to worry about losing my balance, falling and breaking a hip or something. So if you can find one of these at a Thrift Shop for cheap or otherwise, I would highly recommend that you use something like this for support

Electrical issues in the unit. Pass on this one.
I bought this Aug of 24 so I've had plenty of time to test this walking pad before reviewing. This was my first walking pad. When I first got it we followed the directions and oiled. I used it once for a slow walk to get used to it. The 2nd time I used it the belt was slipping causing me to lose balance and somehow the side of my foot ended up under the belt and twisted my ankle. I had it between the bed and dresser so I was able to catch myself from falling. I put it under the bed and didn't touch it again. I ended up with a sprained ankle which I still have issues with and have to wear a brace when walking on a walking pad or treadmill. Fast fwd to a couple of months ago. I got serious about calorie counting and movement and against my better judgement I pulled this thing out instead of buying a new one. Oiled it, tried to adjust the belt (didnt help). This time I didnt use it next to anything to hold on to. I got used to the slipping of the belt, learned to balance myself and wait it out. After it fully gets going the slipping stops. Besides the slipping here are the big issues... 20 minutes in, 3.8 and this thing just stopped on me, cold turkey. No warning. No slowing down. Literally stopped and threw me backwards. I hit my head on the windowsill and hurt my back. I'm guessing due an electrical issue with unit. After healing I decided to try again because I have an at home sedentary job and I really need to walk. After 20 minutes at 3.8 my whole room smells like electrical burning and I'm worried about a fire or it shutting off again on me so my husband instructed me to get a new one and get rid of this. I have had it awhile, yes. But it hasn't had much use because of the faulty issues with it. I decided to write this review because I feel it's an extremely important review and can help others when making a decision.

Good small walking pad for value
This is a good walking pad for the value. I had a larger, more expensive version previously, but I wanted something smaller in size. For the cheaper price, you obviously aren't going to get a fancy machine. It is not the quietest and makes a weird noise at least once every use. What annoys me is that the machine stops after 60 minutes of use. I think this is mentioned in the listing, but definitely not prominently enough because I missed it. You have to turn off the machine for 5 minutes so it can cool down before you use it again. My problem is that 5 minutes turns into an hour that I have wasted just standing on top of the treadmill while working instead of actually walking. At the end of 60 minutes, I can tell the machine is pretty warm though. My shoes tend to feel a bit sticky on the tread by then. Overall the smaller size and lighter weight were the top priorities for me.
