Cover is only partially cotton, with plastic underneath.
I bought this cotton protector, because I thought that it was 100% cotton, or at least mostly cotton. Only the top part is cotton, and it has a quite thick plasticy layer on the back. This is the type of cover that everyone dreads, that makes crinkling sounds.

Best mattress cover,fits the mattress perfectly, I'm 100% convinced this is the best mattress cover you'll ever buy and I've tried quiet a few and they don't come close to this one!!!

Difficult to put on the mattress
Liked the material but I thought it was a zip around the full mattress for ease of taking off and putting on for washing. Very difficult to put on. Once I need to remove it I will likely get a replacement.

Did it stop any of my dust mite allergies? Idk. Do I notice a difference? No. Would I buy it again? Maybe? It’s comfortable.

Hot and small.
It’s very hot and barely fit on my thin full mattress. If you mattress is taller than about 6 inches you are going to have a hard time using this. And it’s infernally hot and sweaty. 0/10. Do not recommend.

Awesome mattress protector
This is an excellent mattress protector that's well made and definitely great for allergen blocking, waterproofing and preventing nasty things like bed bugs! The fabric is lovely and soft, and even fits deeper mattresses ours is 14" and it fits pretty well, not sure if it would stretch to 18". I love that it doesn't make that crinkling noise when you toss and turn! Machine washable, doesn't pill or shrink. It's a challenge to put on and remove - definitely a 2 person job, but not difficult.

Plastic underneath creates mold
Bought to cover brand new mattress. When I took of sheets to wash I notice the mold! I removed this item and the brand new mattress was intact. This mattress cover was the culprit. I'd like a refund.
