Best bang for the buck!
Absolutely fantastic and did exactly what it was designed to do. You get 2 for the price of one. Super sturdy and came with necessary hardware to hang them up. Installed in minutes. Just buy it.

Almost perfect, but awesome anyway.
First off, this shelf/drill hanger combo is a beast. Thick gauge steel, heavy, great quality. It's a bargain for the price they're asking. I wish they would sell the solid shelf alone, or maybe a two pack of the shelves - I'd use more of them here and there around the shop. Honestly, it's worth it to buy the set and just not use the extra drill hangers.OK, now the bad... the slots on the drill hanger are narrow. They work for most of my pistol grip tools, but not all of them. I cheated and installed all four pieces side by side and I use the gap between the shelf/hanger as an extra slot for fat-handled tools. It's not worth knocking a star off, but if they could make the gaps wider, it would be perfect.

Good Product, Poor Information, Great Customer Service
I ordered the set with the black solid shelf and rack to hang 4 tools. The description of the product said something along the lines of “Rack + Shelf, (Set of 2).” A reasonable person would interpret the rack + shelf to be a set, and a Set of 2 to mean a double-wide shelf and rack containing two units each. To call two different items together a “set of 2” is very confusing, and left me a bit miffed on delivery. A message sent to Modern Innovations asking for clarity and spelling out how this is confusing was met with an offer of $10 refund and keep the single unit of rack + shelf, or a total return of the entire product for full refund. Neither was an option in my case as a Vine reviewer, but I appreciated the offer to partially refund as an effective discount for mislabelled or substandard-but-still-usable goods — something I haven’t gotten from other sellers in a similar situation. Plus. What impressed me the most was the agent understood where there could be confusion and assured me they would contact their marketing team to have the listing edited for clarity, and in a shocking twist, made the edits within days. I’ve had other sellers misrepresent the color of clothing who claimed they’d fix the listings and never followed through. Plus. A+ for the company’s service. The product itself doesn’t have much to write about. It’s something in service constantly, but not something I’d use regularly to be able to review. The steel gauge is thick and appears sturdy. It will hold a circular saw and some batteries. I do wish it was a little bit wider to fit more comfortably but it’ll work. The racks allow tools with pistol-grip like handles to hang. My drills and drivers from two brands fit, albeit snugly. The tire inflator has a wider handle and can’t fit at all, and the immersion saw is a little too snug for comfort but can be worked in. I would have liked to see the slits be just a little more open to fit these tools more comfortably. The battery compartment is a flared base, so they *could* have been widened with no risk of the tools falling out. Slight Minus.Where things really went off the rails were these directions… The sets came with four heavy wood screws. Four machine screws (drywall screws?), four washers, and four drywall plugs. The instructions said to drive a 3/32” pilot through the drywall and any studs, then hammer the plugs in, then fix the washer between the shelf and the drywall screws. That was impossible. The holes were so small the plugs would never fit. I took the directions with skepticism, but faith, and followed them to the letter; the plug mangled the drywall then bent because they were so impossibly large to fit through that pilot. Given the size of the shaft of the (wood) screws, I’m pretty sure it was a 3/16” not a 3/32” that was required. In the end I had pieces leftover because it really wasn’t clear which screws the instructions applied to, and if it was for the wood screws into studs treatment, or the drywall screws into the plugs (?) into just straight drywall treatment. I ended up drilling 3/16” pilots and using the large wood screws through the drywall and into the stud, with the machine washers as the hex head of the screw was “suspiciously” close to falling through the slat at the right angle. The wood screws were also more like bolts with a solid head. I had to drive them with a socket wrench by hand whereas a phillips head compatible with the very tools I was trying to hang would have made the project take one tenth the time. The instructions being hot nonsense and frustrating installation hardware are Minus Minus Minus.Overall I can’t justify taking a star though I want to. The only interaction you’ll have with the instrument is during its installation, and that installation was very frustrating. They do however do the job of holding (most) handheld power tools you own and are much sturdier than wire racks and shelves. The Good:Customer ServiceHeft and DurabilityThe Bad:Slits are just a little too narrow to comfortably rack tools when you’re done.Installation can be a headache. The Ugly:Useless instructions.

Good product…poor instructions
Great, simple, easy to install, glad to organize my shop a touch more with 2 of these. Including a couple of different screws for options was a nice touch. Pretty well constructed and solid. Works well for their intended use.Marking down to 4 stars on the instructions which are in broken English and actually not accurate. But since this is the sort of thing that shouldn’t require instructions too much, it doesn’t really matter, but shipping instructions that are actually wrong could be problematic for the people who are less confident in what they’re doing. In particular, the instructions first imply that you can somehow adjust your studs to be 20” apart (pretty unlikely unless you’re finding a horizontal 2x4 in the wall). Then they say to drill a 3/32” hole then put in the wall anchors. If you’re on studs you don’t need wall anchors and 3/32” bit is too small for the anchors. It really should have 2 alternatives one for where you have a stud and one where you don't.

Nice sturdy rack.
I got this so I could get my drills, chargers and accessories off my table in the garage and up out of the way. It comes fully assembled, all you have to do is mount it to the wall with the provided anchors. It was easy to install and holds my 3 drills, 4 chargers and other items easily. It is well made and is powder coated so it should hold up well. It performs as expected so I give it 4 Stars.
