Some of the friends to whom I gave this globe as a gift were confused by the statement that a 230 v supply is needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun for its novelty *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on 14 January 2013* I purchased one of these years ago and another one recently (unfortunately it came to me damaged and would not power up). They are easy to set up and look cool sitting on your desk. The bottom magnetic hold is nice for when I lose power it doesn't drop the globe and break or anything.Personally I like to slowly spin the globe (a gentle spin will continue for hours and hours) and the kids love to time how long it spins. Over the years, there has been no real improvement in this device, but a cool feature to add would be an auto-spin to draw your eye to it more. It is fun to have out when people are over (I do spin it), but beyond that it is a novelty item I don't have on (wasting electricity) everyday.
