I have connected this to a battery I had spare from a car and a solar car charger that is on my shed roof, very useful and good value for money

I have ordered a few 12v security lights in the past but this one is by far the best and at a great orice as well..

There are not many outdoor PIR floodlights that work from 12V, so pleased to report that this lamp works OK but there are some niggles.Firstly quality control is not great. I ordered two lamps and on one of them the seal around the lamp was not fitted correctly, allowing water ingress.Secondly the way that the PIR sensor is mounted onto the lamp body means that the controls end up on the top rather than the bottom. You can flip the sensor upside down to correct this but if you do that then you cannot have the PIR sensor facing directly forward.Also the angle at which the sensor is attached to the lamp body restricts the pitch angle of the sensor. I wanted the sensor to point only slightly downwards but if you do this then the lamp must also point straight ahead or up into sky.Electrical test results measured from a DC power supply:13V @1.59A = 20.7W.12V @1.76A = 21.1W.11V @1.14A = 12.5W.10V @0.59A = 5.9W.9V @0.18A = 1.6W.Standby current is 4mA.

This little light is just as good as a 240v. It was that good I ordered a second one.

PIR sensor loose and will not stay in position. Cannot disassemble to tighten the locknut inside.Dusk to dawn adjustment pot just spins round, presumable broken inside sensor housing.Light itself is very bright just a pity about the quality.

This outdoor light has made a notable difference in my home's security. The motion sensor is precise and reliable. Installation was simpler than I expected, and the light coverage is extensive. It's durable and works well in various weather conditions, adding a layer of safety to my property.

Light flicks on & off constantly after a heavy rainfall, draining battery. Suspect water has gotten inside the PIR housing.

Using this on a bike-storage shed wired off a car battery.It's very bright and the motion sensor works well. I set it to only come on at night (which it does). The sensitivity of the motion sensor and how long the light comes on for are also adjustable.It's IP66 rated so I was puzzled at the construction with the screwed on front panel, so I took the liberty of removing the screws to see what was going on. Turns out the screws just hold a metal frame in place to protect the edges of the glass panel - the latter is sealed to the body and the seal looks good, so I have no reason to doubt the IP66 rating.The only real downside to this light has been the cable length - you get a paltry 1m supplied which is nowhere near enough and there is no easy way to open the unit and connect a longer cable, so you have to create a join somehow.

Malisima calidad, la chapa marco del cristal esta doblada por varias partes , lo que hara que quizas entre agua o que se quede alli con la consiguiente oxidacion.EL detector de movimiento giratorio no tiene bien apretada la rosca que lleva en su interior y no se puede dejar en la posicion que se desea , ya que tampoco puedo apretarla yo.Un verdadero desastre.Reedito.el vendedor se puso en contacto conmigo y SOLUCIONO EL PROBLEMA .Recomiendo este vendedor.Buen profesional
