Would not come out of pairing mode and constantly beeps. As mentioned in previous reviews the app does not have a security option for the flood light as directed in the accompanied literature. Tried too many times to get it to connect via scanning QR on app. Return set up for replacement. If that doesn't work will try something else.Update,Finally got it going, make sure All ambient light is gone. I had to wait until the sun went down before it would read QR code from app. The light and camer seems to work just fine but the hassle, and app missing information for this particular device leaves it wanting for better info and operating capabilities. 2 stars is as high as I can go.

There were only 2 reviews for this item when I decided to try it. They were both positive. I'll be brief. The item appears to be high qualify, sturdy. The software is pretty much the same as the rest of the Chinese-made cams out there but the mobile app is decent. However, it was a nightmare setting this up. I downloaded the free app and tried to scan the barcode on the cam to detect the correct model and configure it. The barcode reader in the software does not work. Period. It just keeps erroring. The directions say to manually set the camera up by selecting the menu category "security cameras" however that menu item doesn't exist in the software! After spending an hour fiddling I was able to get the unit to join my wifi network and once that happened it detected the correct model. I was pretty discouraged but the camera has very good quality and the flood light is bright for an area say 20 feet wide or so. The app software is a bit quirky and does not have a great interface but it is workable. The camera and light do follow you if your motion is detected. I wish it had manual controls - that is from my app I could pan and point the camera, but it apparently does not have that level of control. I also wish I could access the camera from my laptop vs only the mobile app, like many other brands allow. For the price this is pretty good. Unless or until they fix the mobile app, if you buy this and set it up, grant all permissions to the setup wizard (strip them back later) and try the wifi set up. You'll have no success otherwise.

I requested the Philex Robotic Security Light with Advanced Motion Tracking for my husband's elderly parents who will be relocating to a new house soon. My husband said installation wasn't all that difficult, once the location choice was resolved. We are talking about two 90-year-olds, here; nothing is simple. However, moving along, the light is a god-send and amazed my parents who never were anything close to adopting technology. They will leave this planet, never understanding or being able to manipulate a cell phone or personal computer with any efficiency. Bottom line, though, is that they love this security light that actually tracks humans across their yard.

This unit combines the ability to smart sense and area with PIR (passive Infrared Sensor) an object in motion up to 40 away and then track it over 210 degrees with an integrated motorized system pointing a light at it while it moves. You are literally putting eyes on the target and showing that it is being watched which can both assist you where lighting is needed as you walk, or intimated an intruder for better security protection for you. I think this is great. The best part is that they made this so simple to use. Just wall mount this in the area you want covered for security and/or for motion lighting from 6ft high to 10 feet and just plug it in a wall socket with standard plug. If need be you can add an extension cord to closest wall outlet or hardwire it in your house wiring whichever is easiest or best. It's pretty much that simple. The control buttons on the side of the unit let you further program the unit to only if wanted detect motion within certain distant ranges such as up to 39.40 feet, or 29.55 ft, or 19.69 ft. And if you want the light on all the time, or night activated. Lastly you can adjust the light beam by 30 degrees up or down by simply moving the light head. This is a great product. for additional security and lighting and puts out 1,700 lumens of light.

I used to have problems with people trying to get in my car while it was in the drive way. Something about a light following you makes people think better. Haven't been woken up by a car alarm since I got this.

This spotlight is SO BRIGHT, you won't have to worry about Vampires or Werewolves sneaking up on you and your family. This robotic camera light actually scans/pans back and forth. Looking for danger while looking busy. Very intimidating as a security device and is built very solid, heavy and durable for longtime using. Does not have an automatic tilting feature. You must manually tilt the camera to the angle appropriate for the location you mounted it. Has no "on/off" button on the body. Rubber plug covers the SD card slot and reset button. Power on and off is controlled by weather it is plugged in or not. Automatically on when plugged in and all features/settings are accessible through the Tuya smart app which works fairly well, the motion sensing and tracking is VERY SENSITIVE. The instructions are.......missing a few key things. Out of the box the camera would not work because it had not been wired completely. It appears to be wired but in fact there is one black wire that has not been connected yet and the instructions do not instruct you that it must be connected to the single white wire with the terminator cap already on it. Connect this black wire to the single white wire at the furthest end of the power cord. The white power cord is a non-polarized cord that can be plugged in, in any orientation. Cord isn't incredibly long so you may need to use an extension cord. A very nice outdoor security camera that doesn't "look like" a typical camera. Great luminosity and range.
