Awesome, rugged, good quality classic red wagon
After deciding to purchase my son's first red wagon, I decided to do a little research first. I looked at various product variants and manufacturers, to include in-store options. However in the end I bought this red wagon made by Morgan online, through Amazon. The primary reason for that selection was simply that the Morgan seemed to offer the most rugged, durable wagon of all of those that I had considered. This was of high importance to us, mostly because we live on acreage, much of which is unimproved; therefore our wagon needed to be capable of surviving the rigors of travel over that type of terrain, if you will. I felt certain that our land would simply eat any plastic wagon for breakfast. We needed something much stronger than any of those options. We also wanted to buy something that seemed like it would survive the test of time. Ergo we wanted something that would last. Curiously, it is of interest to note that there weren't any reviews of the Morgan prior to my purchase, at least not that I could find anyway. I really wasn't sure why that was; was this some type of mystery or simply that few people were buying it over other options? Not sure, but since I was happy with the product the absence of a review seemed unjustified somehow. For that reason I made it a point to add one to the Amazon product listing in order to help others who might be considering a similar purchase.So. For the wagon itself. I can report that the Morgan variant of the classic red wagon is indeed a durable, rugged product. Granted we've only had it about a week or so, but it holds up well when we pull our son around in it. We go up and down the most unimproved sections of our land with no issues whatsoever. From this perspective I am quite happy with the Morgan. The un-boxing was straightforward; they provided instructions but the assembly was pretty obvious really. They recommend a universal wrench and a phillips headed screw driver. I couldn't find my crescent wrench since I rarely use it, so I can tell you from experience that you'll need the following:1) 8, 10 and 12 mm sockets or wrenches2) A large-bore phillips screw driver or bit and cordless screw driver (which is what I used)3) Some type of air pump (I used my compressor but a simple lever-style hand pump would work)Note that the hardware arrives pre-inserted in its respective destination (either captive nuts or free), so don't spend any time searching for a clear plastic bag containing the hardware like I did. :DI'm fairly particular, and so I'm not an easy sell. There were a few issues I had with the Morgan, BTW. That said, they were all quite minor in the grand scheme of things and definitely nothing that would put me off of the purchase. I suspect that most of them were to do with the product sitting on the shelf for X amount of time. Anyway, they were:1) The tires were quite low and needed to be filled (again, probably sat prior to my purchase). Note that the max recommended pressure is 30 PSI. These tires are heavy duty in regard to wagons and I was pleased with them. The steel wheels were in excellent condition, BTW, and seemed to be of good quality.2) There was a tiny amount of rust on the ends of the axles. This was easily resolved though and again, likely due to sitting on the shelf.3) The hardware seemed kinda cheap if I may so boldly say. When tightening a few of the hex heads, they seemed to be soft and were thus "chewed up" rather easily. That's not a huge deal, but I would have liked to have seen stronger, better hardware. I ended up going to the local box store to buy a few replacements; I used lock washers too, and would have preferred to see those, though admittedly that is overkill. And I almost forgot to mention that our son absolutely loves it. Something just struck me: their ad for this wagon says that it's sized just right for ages 4 and up; maybe this is why there aren't any reviews. And maybe this is why it hasn't sold more? Dunno. However our son is only 22 months and I can tell you without doubt that the size is just fine for him. He fits in it well, he can climb in and out of it without a problem and he can pull it around with ease. Therefore if that is a concern for you, I'd recommend letting that concern go; it'll be fine. I'm not sure why they recommend 4 and up, but whichever, I digress. So that's it. This is definitely a 5-star product in my mind and I would recommend it without reservation to anyone looking to buy a red wagon for a loved one. Good luck!
