Works great
Has several sets of dies, small to medium. It’s small enough to get into small tight places. Used it to crimp cables for winch on my trailer. Will be fabricating battery cables.

very good tool for the price, but did not come with the chart to convert mm, to gauge of crimp.

Tool is Adequate Quality, Case Could Be Improved, Overall It's Not Bad for the Price
I ordered this crimping tool because it is more elegant than the tool I already have, which you hit with a hammer to peen the crimp connector onto large cables. The hammer tool is cheaper and pretty effective, but it mushrooms the connector out flat and that can make insulating boots harder to slide over it. This hydraulic tool crimps the connectors inwards from all sides, so it's a lot more desirable and the connection is more attractive looking. It's also easier to use than swinging a hammer at what is essentially a small anvil - it's quieter, and you don't need a hard surface to place the tool on in order to use it. The hydraulics make the crimping effort very easy and low-stress. The carrying case though, is a little less impressive - it has the sort of friction hinges and latches that will eventually wear out and snap off. It also doesn't fit the tool perfectly, and the dies stay loose enough that they can escape from their grooves and rattle around inside while you carry or transport it.Overall, this does do the intended job at a low price. What seems to have been left out as part of the low price is a well-fitting and durable case, and a little bit of fit and finish on the tool and dies themselves. The plating on the dies is very glossy and looks a bit cheap. The castings of the head of the tool are kind of rough on the exterior, and one of the stickers is lumpy because it's big enough to cover some fasteners underneath it, like it was more of an afterthought than an integral part of the design. These are small complaints, which don't keep the tool from working; for the price I do recommend it for crimping large connectors on battery wires or cable, It's easier to use and just as secure as other methods.
