Haw Flakes 3.18 Oz / 90 G (Pack of 10)-SET OF 10

I used to get these things at an Asian grocery store when I was a kid, but they’re almost impossible to find now. These are like poker chips made of dried fruit. The fruit is the fruit of the Hawthorn tree. Hence the name haw. It tastes about like apple. It’s sweet and good. Try it.

Unfortunately I had to throw out the whole pack because it tasted like metal. I’ve never had this problem before. I was so upset by this.

I've purchased haw flakes 50+ times from various stores and suppliers for years and these are the worst tasting NASTY bits of contaminated dehydrated fruit creation I've ever eaten.I've purchased haw flakes with this same packaging from other sources many times and have never been disappointed. These from Amazon are rubbish.They somehow smell and taste like garlic and curry and other spices I can't discern. I've tried multiple packages but all are contaminated and the smell and taste is abhorrent.They're all trash and can't be returned. I want a refund. No option for it.Amazon should be aware of this food product and remove this seller permanently.

These are so hard to find in my area so I was so excited. They arrived very stale, but that won't stop me.

This was a flashback to my childhood. Happy times!!

I usually love these haw flakes and buying the ten 10-packs. When I opened the first sealed 10-pack, I found that 3 rolls of the 7 rolls I opened contained not the usual dry haw flake discs. Some of the discs were much darker probably because they were partially damp/wet to actually mushy. As the other 4 rolls I opened were fine, I assume these 3 rolls got wet before the ten rolls were packaged together (missed by the inspection process). I don’t know if I should even eat those dark, wet discs. I’m going to have to carefully go through the rest of this 10-pack and the other nine 10-packs before eating them.UPDATE: When I finished the 10-pack there was one more roll with wet mushy discs in it, and so far in a second 10-pack there was one roll of 6 that had a few dark wet mushy discs. I put them aside so far. Does anyone think I should go ahead and eat them? Wonder where they got wet?

A friend of mine introduced me to this treat years ago. It’s a quick , small treat, and I love them. When you need a little bit of sweet after a meal, they are perfect.
