Ordered a metre of this fabric about 3 or 4 years ago to make a cover for a sewing machine and cannot remember the width of the fabric. Would supplier of the material be able to help you? **Q: Are the polka dots small enough to use as piping?** A: Yes, I used this in black to edge a quilt with piping. **Q: Can anyone recommend which colour sewing thread to use on this fabric as I’ll have to buy online as local shops closed due to lockdown?** A: From what I recall the fabric was one hundred per cent cotton so probably cotton would be best. However I always use just a polyester thread for most things. The only proviso I would say is I wouldn’t wash fabric on a hot cotton wash as if using polyester thread it may not hold up to high temperature.
