Bought 5 of these for managed properties. Installation easy. After using one 4 times for various contractors, the safe jammed & could not be opened. Tried WD40 & gently prising with screwdriver; still locked out. Nothing for it but to knock it off the wall! 2 keys still inside and STILL can't get it open. Returned to supplier with our keys inside!! The metal 'tongue' has failed and will not release. Needed a locksmith to open front door. Only plus side, it was not at night with emergency!! just what a keysafe is for.Advert says "never get locked out again"!! well, never was before this was fitted. This is not good and has dented our confidence in the remaining four fitted safes.......are toying with the idea of removing all & returning because it's the Law of Sod that any other failure will be in an emergency...........advice please?

I purchased this lock box so that I could keep a key outside of my house while I was on vacation in case the garage door keypad stopped working for some reason to allow access to the house for the friend who was feeding our cat. Installation was easy once I threw out the screws that came with the box. The lock box itself is high quality and fairly substantial, however the screws that come with it didn't seem to be of the same quality. Two of the screw heads stripped very easily in pre-drilled holes. The first stripped using a new #2 Philips bit in a drill/driver. The second screw head stripped using a manual screw driver that is also essentially new. I broke the head off of the third screw, again with a manual screwdriver. When removing the screws with stripped heads, both screws broke, one at the head, and the other mid way down the screw shaft The fourth screw went directly into the trash. On my second attempt at installation, after rotating the box 180 degrees, I decided to just use four 3" deck mate screws with a T-25 bit (which requires an extension/bit holder due to depth of the box) and it worked perfectly. Because I had a few extra holes behind the box I also used a little bit of liquid nails sealant/adhesive to make the back of the box a little more water tight. I have used other lock boxes with push button combination, and I prefer the roll tumbler style for out door application as there are fewer moving parts. Re-setting the combination was extremely easy, and instructions very clear on how to re-set the combination which comes set on a factory default. If needed, the combination can be re-set at any time.

Does the job, looks good and is secure! Super easy to mount and set new combination. We use it at our cottage, excellent way to keep a spare key. Its weather proof cover allowed us to put it anywhere, without worrying about it getting damaged.

We installed the box a few days ago, and it has been working very well! Easy to use dials for the code, and smooth opening and closing. Having used button models, we find this style far easier to use. Also, we think the dials will hold up better than button models that seem to get wonky with wear and tear. We flipped the weather cover so when open it falls downward so you don't have to hold it when opening the main box. It might be the intended way, but it was shipped with it the other way. We look forward to seeing how it performs during a Minnesota winter with sub zero temps! One improvement might be a key hook on the inside to keep the keys in place when opening and closing.
