Not what I expected
The step are great but the handle to hold on are not high enough so you can only use the 1st step otherwise you may loose your balance specially for seniors otherwise great!

Great little indoor ladder
I ordered this ladder so that I could reach my fire alarm to change the battery. It has proved to be a good investment. I weigh 178 pounds and it holds me up.

Yes, the stairs are steel!
I was concerned that, despite all the product claims by the manufacturer, the stairs on this step ladder would be plastic or use some kind of plastic fastener that can break. I have a scar from one of those step-ladders. This step-ladder has 100% steel stairs, braces, and connectors, and it will support your weight and frequent use. The only plastic and synthetic rubber parts are trim, padding, and supporting feet to make the unit even more stable.
