Laces fine but the locks are useless
I go through about 3 pairs of elastic laces a year for my running shoes. These laces are fine but the locking cap is the worst I've ever had. It's so tight that getting even once lace in is near impossible (though i managed after 10 minutes) but two is impossible. In the end i had to use the locking caps from a different pair of shoes. So i used the laces but not the caps. If you don't have spare locking caps then basically this product isn't fit for purpose.

Good item, but!
A good item, good value for money. My only concern is that the gap in the piece that clamps the laces is slightly too small. I had to use a pair of pliers to hold the lever open because you can only just get two laces through it. I couldn't have got the laces through the gap without the pliers. Apart from that they are well made. I personally wouldn't get these again though because of that problem.

Horrific to install, but they work after the nightmare to get them on the trainers
I've used elastic laces for a few years now (as I'm lazy) and have had from several manufacturers, but these are BY FAR the worst to install!Fitting the laces themselves was OK as the aglets are stiff, but that was the easiest part of the process - I had to get pliers out to allow the laces to go through the sprung part, taking about 5 minutes of extra time just to fit the damn thingsI left the laces in (and knotted them to make them not dangle) to ensure that the fit was good, and when I tried to clip on the ends, gawd dayum they were tough to get clipped together! Another 5 minutes for what sould have been a 20 second job!!!The others I've tried have been incredibly easy to fit, these were just a plain NIGHTMARE to install, but once they're in, they're fine

Quality elastic laces, easy to fit.
I fitted these to my 5:10 Mountain biking shoes, which are excellent all apart from one thing. It always seems crazy to me to have cycling shoes that have long flappy laces. They always get caught on the chain or front cog and collect oil which ends up on your hands. So fitting RaceLace means that you don't have long flappy laces, and as another advantage the shoes are quicker to put on. There are many brands of elastic lace but it does pay to buy quality, as you need a good quality of elastic that is going to stand the test of time. RaceLace's elastic is strong and robust and also has a reflective thread running through it which is great for cycling. I also have elastic laces on my trail shoes (Keen Versatrail) although these are a factory fitted option! If you've not tried them, give it a go.Fitting the laces is pretty easy but before you cut off the excess and fit the end piece to the elastic just check you can get your feet into the shoes easily and you are happy with the amount of elastic that is trailing once the shoes are done up.My one criticism of the the RaceLace is that the cord lock is just a little small. It's quite an effort to push the button - if it were a little bigger, it would be easier. But still worthy of 4 stars.

Great invention, every runner should use them
I really love these laces, previously in races I've had laces come undone and have had to stop and do them up with these no more.To fit you simply strip out the old laces and loop them though, then cut to size. You then feed the 2 ends though a plastic ring and fix the 2 ends with a flat lock bit of plastic. I have tried other variants of elastic laces and I much prefer the end fitting on these as you can undo them, also being flat it tucks back down the laces over the shoe tongue much better. The advantages:-Never come undoneShoes are much quicker to put onYou can swap them over to a new shoe when you get a new pairVery hard wearingDefinitely relives pressure points on your feet when running

Turn lace ups into a slip on
Bought for my teen’s PE trainers. They have only been in use for a week so far so too soon to comment on the durability. They haven’t come undone so far. I gave up trying to put the adjuster ring grips on - as they were too stiff and seemed not to open up wide enough to pass the end of each lace through hence 4 stars given. But otherwise this is a recommended product . Anyone with limited dexterity May need someone to insert the laces and the securing clip for each,as it took several firm finger and thumb squeezes until they clicked shut. They effectively turn lace ups into a slip on.

An excellant product for all
These are just amazing. My disabled daughter does not have fine most skills so shoes with laces are a no go but shoes with velcro for a young lady of 17 are not always that fashionable..... these are awesome and she finds them really easy to use. They are so awesome that her eder sister who is perfectly able bodied has some as well as they look so good......

Excellent security at the expense of a little flexibility
These laces arrived very quickly. They are exactly as advertised and they do what they promise to do, so I am impressed with the seller.Once laced into your running shoes, you effectively have a pair of slip-ons. The laces can be tightened using a plastic cinch. The cinch itself is quite stiff, so if you are planning on using the laces because you have problems with manual dexterity, they are not ideal. They held the shoes securely in place as I ran. The only (minor) downside is that I found it easier to use ordinary laces flexibly. By that I mean you can have them loose at the bottom, tighter in the middle, looser again at the top, etc. That is harder to do with these laces but not absolutely impossible.
