What type of USB plug does the side of the binoculars have? If I go to hook up a USB Cable to power it via a powerbank I would like to know. Type C, Mico, Mini? I would like to also see a picture of the place where I can connect a powerbank to power this.

There are answers to using an external battery pack but it doesn't say what the power output should be on that external battery pack?

I bought this for my husband fox Xmas and he has never been able to make the batteries work. He's never got to use it

Yes as long as you are not in IR mode.

Is it normal for the display screen to darken on and off by itself during the day when cloudy?

I believe mine does that as well.
