Nonstop rain? This waterproof and windproof rain poncho made of breathable material really trumps it all, because with it you can keep dry on rainy tours even with a large backpack. The protective hood is adjustable and the back can be expanded with the zip to protect your backpack. In addition, you can pack the poncho in its own small pouch pocket to save space. For more walking safety and weather protection, the length can be adjusted and secured between the legs to keep the wind from blowing it around. In combination with a pair of rain pants or waterproof gaiters, you'll even stay dry during torrential rains – and your gear too! The poncho material is bluesign certified and resource saving and manufactured.

waterproof poncho
I havent actually used it in the rain yet but it fits great with big backpack underneath so good for hiking . Most goretex jackets are too sweaty where this you have plenty of air underneath so feel better. Plus it covers the backpack. Presume it wouldnt work that well in high winds. yet to test in the rain.

Great protection
I got the small size and it is massive but it covers my backpack as well as keeping me dry, I do worry I might take off in strong winds. I feel comfortable and protected in wet weather.

Huge poncho sure to keep you dry
I bought this for my partner who is 6ft and is an L or Xl in clothes. This poncho is huge, you can easily fit a backpack of pretty much any size underneath. It is also very long so it'll definitely keep my partner dry.It has lots of press studs to enable you to fit it more closely (around sleeves and legs) and the peaked cap fits well and won't blow off in strong winds.Haven't tried it in the rain yet but I think it'll keep my partner and backpack completely dry.

Out of the packet who knows how good it is
Not worn on a hike as yet so find it odd to be asked to review the item. Out of the packet who knows how good it is. It certainly fits me 17 Stone (244 lbs), 6'3",tall in fact it is maybe a bit too big.It has the bag cover integrated which I wanted, but which is well advertised, so no surprise there. Bulkier than expected on pack down, which of course unless you have OCD or enough time to shed from your life never actually goes back into any packet the way it came out, So I have pinched a large Ziploc bag from my wife's kitchen stock.and just stuff it in.One day soon probably March next year I will use it for it's intended purpose and I will probably forget to update this review. Who know the item may be worth 5 stars by then or maybe even just 1.I intend never to answer these ridiculously quick review requests ever again. Today I had 5 minutes spare.

Its quite a reassuring feeling knowing that if this is in your backpack you can survive the weather if your stuck out in the remotest parts of Wales like the hills of the Elan Valley
Keep this in my hiking back pack all the time as it weighs only 459g. I'm 5'10 and it when its raining you can throw this on and know your now going to stay totally dry no matter what the elements throw at you. Its quite a reassuring feeling knowing that if this is in your backpack you can survive the weather if your stuck out in the remotest parts of Wales like the hills of the Elan Valley.Just wish it was cheaper so we could all indulge in one but at £55 its pretty expensive it it got snagged on barbed wire or something. Problem is the cheaper ones are heavier and that then rules out carrying in a backpack all the time.

Vaude Hiking Backpack Poncho
This gives excellent cover from the rain; you aren't likely to need waterproof trousers. It packs up very small, and is relatively light (630 g) so can be warn in the warmer months as well. It gives cover for your rucksack as well. You need to be sure to choose the right size for your height.

The best around
This Poncho by Vaude is way under featured in the product description. I'm 6ft 3 and the XL fits more than enough. My only critic is that the arms are short in the sleave, however most ponchos seem to be like that for some reason. It has a large zip breast pouch pocket and on the back it has another zip which opens out the poncho further to cover your rucksack - likewise the excess material can be folded and zipped-up if you happen to be without a rucksack. There is also a pop-on crouch strap at the lower hem for when its windy. Great product and design by Vaude
