Will this product keep cats from scratching on certain spots on carpeting?

The product is a cleaner and repellent. If you are looking for just a repellent we suggest using the Nature's Miracle Scratching Deterrent Spray or Nature's Miracle Pet Block. The scents in these product repel and help prevent cats from returning to the treated areas. So be sure not to spray it on anything the cat needs access to. Does it help with keeping cat from urinating in same spot?

NO! Not at all. It is nothing more than soap and water with some essential oils added. The only Nature’s Miracle product that I have found that works is the “Urine Destroyer just for cats”. It does not stop them from returning however. But the more you can remove the smell of their urine, the less they will be attracted to the smell and so pee there again.

My cat goes to my neigbours small patch of dirt to use the bathroom, will this help me to deter him from going there.

Good question! Most cats dislike the smell of this product. So the scent deters cats from the treated area and helps prevent them from returning to it.
