Expiration date was for May 2024, purchased in December as a gift. Before the end of January, the individually wrapped cakes smelled funny and had mold. Tasted good for the first few cakes, then had a rancid flavor...

I can't belive they allow these things to be sold. My wife purchased some and told me how bad they were and I thought she was overreacting to. I tried one. It could be one of the worst things I’ve ever tried, and I was really afraid that I might get sick because it tasted like nail polish remover and smelled like it too, I had to come to Amazon to see the reviews just to make sure that there wasn’t something wrong with the ones we had I guess there’s not 🤷‍♂️

Sad that these are so crappy. I was expecting a real treat because Bauducco's panettones are quite good! These are a weird chemical concoction that has the strangest smell and taste which is off. almost like they are borderline spoiled.

I have no idea how it managed to smell as strong as it does. I opened the little package and was expecting a cakey smell, but was hit in the face with the smell of acetone/nail polish. :(

Horrible. I made someone else in my family try them and told me they we’re expired (expiration date is in 2024); imagine the horrible taste. Strong preservatives smell. They smell like something that shouldn’t be eaten. The manufacturer should take this out of the market, period.
