Even when the volume is low the music is still clear and quite loud considering the setting. I didn’t find this a major issue but be aware. **Q: Does noise cancellation work if you connect with the cable rather than Bluetooth?** A: Yes it should still work. The Noise reduction is based on the headset, not the Bluetooth. I used mine on a flight and its not bad. **Q: Are these compatible with Samsung a54 mobile phone** A: I dont see why not. These phones aren't total isolation but your neighbours kids next door, DIY or chatterboxes on the bus won't bother you as you'll be blissfully engrossed in a clear music/podcast/audiobook bubble.The battery last yonks! I've used them for at least 20 odd hours and still going strong.They sit comfortably on the head and cup the ears just right. Nice soft materials on arch and buffers. Fold nicely and are light. All the buttons, toggles and charge points are well made. But here I am 2 years on and they're still going strong. No faults or issues. They sound great, and the noise cancelling works well. I used to own some Bose Quiet comforts but they broke. These are not the same in sound quality, from what I remember, but they are pretty great. Doesn't appear to be an auto switch off function, so I often forget and leave them on. The battery still lasts really well though. I've been pleasantly surprised and would buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap and Cheerful And Just About Fits the Bill *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 August 2026* Lest starts with the PROS.I paid under £20 for these with HYBRID ANC, you would be very hard pressed to find another set of HYBRID ANC headsets at this price point. On listening to music through these I could immediately hear the difference over my previous pairs of Head phones; a Sony and an EKSA E5. I normally wear them when travelling or when using the Hoover. Even if you don't get these head phones make sure you get a set with HYBRID ANC. With HYBRID ANC you get an extra set of mics in the headset that hear what you hear and work in conjunction with the other set of external mics to reduce the noise level even more. You can hear very muted conversation close to you which is fine for me as I need to be aware when travelling that an announcement is being made and you can then slip the head phones off to hear any announcement. The sound is bright and clear.They are incredibly light weight and had them on constantly for a 5hour train journey and never felt I had to adjust them or take them off to rest my neck.Now for the CONS .If using the wired setup, you have to strain to hear any semblance of Bass, you can just about hear a faint promise of Bass and that's it . However.... I downloaded EZ-Booster ( Android - Google Play Store) and that fixed the total lack of Bass having selected the Custom EQ settings, its now got "thumping" Base and I have a huge smile on my face. The blue tooth wireless option is fine and sounds totally different so it's electronic stack makes a huge difference.The ear pads are a bit on the small side so if you have big ears you may struggle with the fitIn Summary:With the EZ Booster the sound quality is on par with my headphones that cost at lease twice as much as what I paid for these and the HYBRID ANC is a lot better.
