Purchased October 2022/Reviewed Feb 2024. I got plates like this for several reasons. 1. Portion control. 2. Separation of items on plate, keep juices,sauces from running into another food item (I know they all get mixed up once inside of you, but I don't want gravy or enchilada sauce running into my veg or fruit items) 3. Nice ridge around plate to keep food on plate and liquid from just dripping off of plate. 4. Lightweight , my ceramic plates that I used to love & still have, seem to be a lot heaver nowadays. so now they are special occasion only. 5. MicrowavableI use these as full time plates, whether heating something up in microwave or just to serve cooked hot or cold food.Sometimes when food has a tomato or yellow sauce, it may look like a stain is on plate, but I just squirt a dab of DAWN platinum & just let it sit after wiping it on plate with a little water & the stain will come off. This may not be an issue if you use a dishwasher, I hand wash rather then let items stack up.These plates are perfect for kids snacks/meals as they are unbreakable either if dropped indoors or outdoors on a patio or around pool area where ceramic might cut if stepped on, especially with younger kids. Needless to say, if you are a camper these would be great as they are lightweight, and even though they are a small accessory, weight does matter whether you yourself are carrying it or inside a camper with regard to overall weight/cargo capacity.

My mother-in-law suffered a brain bleed and had to go back to the basics of learning everyday routines and tasks like eating and drinking. We found when we plated her meals on a regular plate she really struggled to focus and keep from piling food in her mouth to where she was very close to choking. We found these divided dinner plates and tried them out. My mother-in-law has benefited from these plates and have made mealtimes less stressful for all of us.

We love this plate. Use it everyday!

Only downside is that when cutting food with a knife, the plate material easily scratches, gets cut as well. I do like the portion control dividers on the plate. Easy to clean. I'm still happy with purchase.
