PL8 Professional Chopper, Black - Multi-Functional Vegetable Chopper, Dicer, and Mincer with Sturdy Stainless Steel Frame, Perfect for Onions, Tomatoes, and More

This chopper is quite the time saver. My wife and I spend quite a bit of time cooking healthy, home-cooked, meals together... So we also spend a lot of time prepping for those meals. We switch roles in the food prepping, dependent on the meal. When I'm doing the prepping I use the PL8 PL8-1605 Professional Heavy Duty Chopper to chop vegetables into uniform-sized pieces, quickly and easily. It is well-made, durable and simple... non-electric! We also have one in our RV because it's small enough to be stored easily and pulled out when needed. It safely, cuts prepping time in half!

I love the fact that I don’t have to touch spicy peppers anymore. Big plus it dices them so perfectly that I don’t have to worrry about the uniform size.

I have a mandolin from PL8 and I love it so when I saw this on my search for a chopper to make Pico de Gallo I ordered it. It is exceptionally well made and makes for quick work of tomatoes onions and chilis. It has three different size grates that are prefect. It can be a bit tedious to clean but it just takes a little bit of effort to make sure the grates are clean. Highly recommended.

I ordered this because my daughter has one she bought from Williams Sonoma and she raves about it. I had an old sharper image that worked ok but I wanted the mincing option offered on the PL8. I used it twice-once for onions that I used the larger chop blade and once for garlic using the mince blade. It literally smashed both-I had to use the little pick to get the product out of the grate. I ended up just hand chopping both and returning this. It has nice features, but it’s so dull it took longer and was very hard to clean the vegetables out of the blade. My 5 year old sharper image put it to shame. Do not recommend.

Ok, there’s a learning curve and you definitely cant rush it ( put too much stuff). After I learned how to use it I am loving it. The uniformity of the cuts especially when making a filling for a dish really makes me happy! Worth the money.

This vegetable chopper replaced a more traditional style (all-in-one) chopper that broke. I like that there are three different blades and a removable grate that makes cleaning much easier.The chopper, itself, seems to be well made. The clear plastic catch bin is a nice size.However, if I could make any change it would be to create a way to lock the catch bin in place while I am chopping vegetables.

It’s so useful

This the best chopper I have had over the last decade. I use it nearly everyday. It is sturdy and the plastic bowl is much less likely to crack as it is not stressed by the chopping action. It costs more, but my expectation is that it will last much longer and be safer that the cheaper choppers (no worries about plastic shards in your food!). I do find it a little more difficult to clean, but that is a small price in time and effort, for the better design and function.
