Worked perfectly!I tried the OEM replacement from Germany and it was a disaster. The OEM is two parts: the fan and the mounting bracket. When you replace this fan with the OEM, the bracket will never be exactly the same tension. The OEM can shift a fraction of an inch in any direction after replacement and the squirrel cage can scrape against the AC housing side and make a crazy racket. I sent back the OEM and then bought this ONE PART design and it's way better than the original OEM design. Once mounted, the one-part replacement is solid and mounts perfectly. 1:1 on the connections. I've had it for two months and its equal or less sound/noise than the OEM motor sound. The variable speed works on every variable ramp setting. Don't hesitate to snag this up for an E46 - The OEM replacement part for my car is: 64118372797A - 64-11-83-72-79-7A

Hopefully you never have to replace it.
It installed fine and worked. The issue is the connector. Once it was connected, there is no way you are going to get it apart without significant work. I would not likey buy another one.
