Really good way of detecting cat urine. I have bought these blue lights/ UV detectors, before and they have been pretty useless! So I was a little sceptical about this one but in desperation I decided to try this one. It’s so much better. Thank goodness I can get rid of the smell of cat urine! It’s bright uv detection is spot on. Looks durable and well made.

This product is so useful! We just fostered a feral tomcat who managed to get in to parts of the house he shouldn't and sprayed. We could certainly smell it but working out exactly where he had been was really difficult. I was advised to get this particular urine detector by a poster on a pet forum who raved about it. She wasn't wrong! I did feel a bit like something off CSI using it (kids loved it!) and we managed to locate the affected areas in seconds. It was great for checking after we had cleaned that we had got it all. Extremely simple to use and the house no longer smells of cat pee, so my husband is no longer demanding we get rid of the cat! Have recommended this to several people who foster cats. I really rate it!

Well, it's bright light, and picks out lint really well, and also wee in the human toilet, but so far...no pet wee on carpets, and as I have an incontinent old dog, I know where and what he has done yet I can never get it show with the torch on our carpets. Having said that, they are brown carpets...and apparently that doesn't help the cause. Otherwise, the torch is sturdy and bright, I got some uv pens and have been marking possessions and leaving invisible notes for my husband to find, so while it doesn't do exactly what I wanted, it can be used for fun, for checking how well I've cleaned, and for lighting up uv fabric paint. Would have preferred to have spent less on what is essentially a toy, but heigh ho, so it goes.

Absolutely fun to use, and see how ultraviolet light changes the appearance of different materials and fabrics and makes them shine in different colours. But for cat pee... just simply did not work, even if we knew exactly where out cat has .. done her business...

I bought a different UV light first and found it worked well for locaring where the cat peed, but over time it didn't highlight repeat locarion pees very well. The peedar 2.0 however highlights all pees and even shows stains that the other UV light doesn't. The 365-370nm works way better than a UV light with 390+ nm, as the area isn't blasted with purple UV light that drowns out the stain you're looking for. Overall, this works very well and shows stains that other UV lights don't, but the room does need to be quite dark for it to be effective.

wenn man ein Hund-/Katzenverhaltensbuch verspricht, sollte man das auch liefern! - wollte zwar eigentlich ohnehin eine Lampe 'ohne Buch', aber wenn ich das dann gekauft und somit auch bezahlt habe, dann möchte ich das Buch auch haben. Sollte das mit dem Buch einfach ein Missverständnis sein, sollte dieser Teil des Produkttextes schleunigst entfernt werden. Die Lampe an sich funktioniert ausgezeichnet, man sollte allerdings berücksichtigen das alle eiweißhaltigen Stoffe 'leuchten', also nicht nur Urin. Habe Pinkelstellen an meiner neuen Tapete gesucht... und mehr gefunden als mir lieb war :-( NACHTRAG: Kritik wurde gelesen und man hat umgehend reagiert!! habe eine Mail mit nem Link zum Download des eBook erhalten, ebenso den Hinweis das der Link wohl auf der Verpackung zu finden war, da ich diese nicht mehr habe, kein Urteil. I am an avid reviewer, so first let me start off by advising I hold things to a high regard when reviewing them. With this unit I made a choice after researching AND using my own real black lights from Halloween. This unit is on a specific frequency that lights up cat urine like a glowing orb of doom. Once received I did the customary searching of the house, and became unpleasantly aware of things I was conveniently ignorant of before. It has not only found the urine that I couldn't find, on the subfloor under the carpet that I tore up. I couldn't get rid of the smell because the carpet was saturated Need the sub floor consequently was saturated. I did learn the areas to focus on with my enzyme (use urine b gone) and have effectively eradicated the urine from the subfloor finally ridding my home ofvthat wretched embarrassing scent. In turn I found areas where my unwell cats have previously puked, down walls from their cat tree. It was absolutely disgusting. But, I feel my house is cleaner now and I use the light fanatically. One more story, the other night I caught a wiff of urine in the kitchen, abnormal but considering I was tearing up the cat room currently it wasn't a surprise they were acting out. What was a surprise was how effectively they drenched the area they had chosen. With the light I was able to follow the urine as it traveled along the planks, which is key to removing all of the material so they don't pee there again. The owners followed up with 3 emails filled with tricks and tips to make the most of the newfound technology. Very useful information and it was equally nice to know that they followed up so efficiently for such a low cost item. That is good business. I am confident should I need assistance at any time they will respond timely and assist with my needs. However, in my mind, this light has done what I bought it to do and has already paid for itself by saving me from tearing up an entire subfloor. So if you have cats, or really any pets that have biological fluids, this is a very good tool to have in the cupboard.
