The media could not be loaded. Ā Our senior pitbull, Willie, was diagnosed with heart disease and chronic bronchitis a few months ago and we were told to keep his walks short and to not let him over exert himself. I had already been considering a stroller/wagon because heās 13 and has some slight arthritis and is just slow now too so his new diagnosis made me decide to do it. I did I lot of research, read a million articles and reviews, watched YouTube videos and talked to friends, family and our online community about their experiences and I ultimately decided on this Doggyhut Premium XL. Iām soooooo happy with my decision! Itās exactly what I wanted and more! Willie is an American Pit Bull Terrier and he weighs 79lbs. Heās very thick and stocky and he fits perfectly in the XL, with room to spare for a small water bowl and/or his leash or anything small. I also purchased the pad that fits on the bottom that is sold separately on Amazon and I recommend it, especially if you have a big dog and/or an old dog. The bottom of the stroller/trailer is just the fabric so he definitely needed a pad to lay on for support. But if you have a bed that fits the measurements of the stroller, that would work well too! We just didnāt have a bed that we wanted to use in it. The pad works perfectly though and has a removable cover than can be washed (weāve already washed it once). The stroller actually handles better than I thought it would! I can push him through grass, gravel, dirt paths, rocky hiking trails, etc, and Iām 5ā3ā, 110lbs. I wanted one specifically with 3 wheels, instead of 4, because I read they handle way better and so far itās been amazing! I love that the handle bar is adjustable so both me and his Dad (who is 6ā) can both push it comfortably. Willie absolutely loves his stroller and jumps in to lay down when heās tired and sometimes refuses to get out! Lol. We took our time to get him used to it because we wanted him to really love it. For the first couple days I just put it in the backyard with the brakes on and taught him a āplaceā command for him to get inside and lay down. He had no problem getting in or out by himself. I just let him lounge in it and fed him treats. And on the 3rd day I had his Dad come out and push it slowly finally while I walked up front and fed him treats. (he can have issues with things moving while heās on them so I wanted to take it slow). This all worked out great and he really really loves his stroller! Like I said, there are brakes so you can lock it in place when stopped and when loading and unloading. I saw some people had issues with it tipping slightly when the dog got in or out and we thought we might have to get add a kickstand to it but we havenāt experienced that problem at all. The front has both a screen the zippers up for air flow and also a thicker clear plastic cover that you can zipper up if itās cold or raining. The top zips and unzips and the back does as well. There are also 2 pockets on the back flap to store water bottles, leashes, small bowls, treats, etc and there is another small pocket on the top for your keys, cellphone, leash, doggy bags, treats etc. I added a cup holder that I got off Amazon to the handle bar and I added a baby stroller fan that I got off Amazon to the inside for him when itās hot. The fan also doubles as an led light and works great at night as a headlight for the stroller or just as a light to see inside for things. I wish I could add more videos but Amazon only allows one. I wanted to give a thorough review after having it for a couple months because I read every review on here and wished there were even more. Oh and I have a friend who owns the Burley XL Bark Ranger thatās $700 and we both like the Doggyhut better! It was very easy to assemble too. It took us a few minutes to figure out how to release the wheel pin but that was just our own stupidity. Lol. The wheels pop on and off very easily and this fits in the back of my car (Honda Element SUV) without even taking the wheels off. Probably most SUVs you would just have to pop the wheels off firstā¦my car is very wide. I havenāt had to fill the tires at all yet and I use it all the time. I havenāt used the bike trailer function yet (Iām nervous because of how big Willie is and how small I am, lol) but I do plan on trying it soon and I will definitely come back and update my review. Hopefully this helps someone else decide if itās right for them! I couldnāt be happier with our purchase and I keep saying that this was the best purchase Iāve made in year! Haha. I hope you find what youāre looking for for your pup!

Got the big one for my big boy. It's great! One flaw.
I wanted a way to take my buddy with me on scooter adventures. This fit the bill perfectly. I had to modify the tow mount a bit for my rig, but I expected as much. The bolted on leash is adjustable and the buckle slips. I added a few stitches to mine to permanently secure it at the correct length. Don't need that failing at the wrong moment.I suggest acclimatizing your dog to the rig while not hooked up to a tow vehicle, in grass if accessible. Mine had to get used to it a bit, which was spastic at moments. After some training, and a lot of bacon, he started to understand the cocept and now very much enjoys going on adventures. He used to get sad when he saw me gearing up for a ride. Now he follows me and wags his tail. Might start looking for a matching set of helmets for us š

I'm able to take my girl on much longer walks, or give her a break if she's hot/tired/just not feeling it at the moment. It's also nice to keep her contained if we are in town. She weighs 71 pounds.I googled a video for how to assemble, because I felt the instructions were unclear/lacking (as far as the back wheels were concerned).I was a little concerned with how I was going to transport, since it's a bit large (has to be, to carry a large dog). But the back wheels easily come off and it folds into itself; I use bungee chords to attach it to the inside of my vehicle (propped on the side). I recommend measuring your vehicle if you don't have a roof rack/storage.The brakes on both sides are a nice touch, especially if your dog needs some help getting in. It sits low to the ground so the access into the back is very easy. I don't care that they are in front of the tires instead of behind. Works just as well, they are for "parking", not for slowing! My friend has a slightly older model and has trouble with it tipping backwards depending on where the dog stands/sits. I haven't noticed this issue, maybe since it's a newer model. Just something to be aware of overall with any kind of stroller/wagon. I always hold the handle when she's entering/exiting.My dog takes a long time to relax and sit or lay down in it, so it probably feels a little unstable. But you just maintain awareness of your speed and the sidewalks/gravel/turns and it's fine.My only real complaint is the front wheel is not good. Maybe it got less attention because that part pops off for the bike attachment. But it can wiggle rapidly back and forth (like a grocery cart wheel that's out of whack). I think it's just how small plastic wheels can be, but I'm no expert. I wish it was more like the back tires.I've recommended it to several people now. Enjoy the pictures/videos of my girl enjoying the drive.

Happy dog, happy owner
After comparing and contrasting competing products from both well known brands and knock-off brands alike, I think I definitely made the right choice choosing this trailer/stroller. This isn't the cheapest option out there, but I can't imagine any other option would beat it in terms of size and build quality. It was surprisingly intuitive and simple to assemble; most of the assembly is tool-free (and the one or two tools you need are provided). Most pieces just click into place, but it all turns out surprisingly sturdy. I have no concerns about my 75lb boy moving around and making parts loose. My one and only complaint is that I wish the back was the same safety-green color as the sides are (as opposed to dark gray). I wanted us to be as visible (if not more so) from behind as we are from other angles, so I added small LED bicycle lights to the rear. Despite this missed opportunity for a more safety-conscious fabric design, this is hands-down a 5-star product, even at this price point.
