Decent Fun to Play Guitar
This is my Glarry/Ktaxon Mustang.I was really curious what a $55.00 guitar would be like, so I bought this one.I wanted to see if it was really as bad as the reviews said it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's really a decent and fun guitar!I also wanted to set it up with only the items that came in the box. So I did not cut the nut.To start, the fret ends are a tiny bit sharp, but not enough to effect playing. I've seen worse on much more expensive guitars. The frets are level when checked with a straight edge. The Truss Rod was already adjusted just right. Surprisingly the neck has rolled edges, a feature Fender used to boast as a deluxe feature. The nut is a bit high, but again, I wanted to adjust it only with what came in the box, so it stayed as it was.The tuners are really decent, hold tune and are very smooth.Using the factory stings and the hard-tail bridge, I was able to set the string height and the intonation without any problems. The controls work as they should and the pickups, though not the best sounding, have decent output measuring: Neck 10.2K and the Bridge at 12.3K.Out of the box, this guitar can be made into a decent and fun playing guitar. Being a retired Luthier, I'll be making some more advanced adjustments and upgrading of pickups and controls, but for pretty much everyone, this is a decent, good looking guitar that is fun to play!UPDATE: After putting on a set of new strings, The pickups sound really good! Good enough that I'm going to leave them, and not upgrade them. I also forgot to mention that there is plastic on the neck surrounding the Truss Rod adjustment hole, and the neck is centered on the guitar. Both a good thing!

Fun guitar to work on if you work on guitars else....
Fun guitar to work on if you work on guitars else you might need to find someone to help or stay away. The edges of the neck are nicely rounded. Reminded me of old Telecasters. Rounded edges made fret ends sharp. Filed and polished those. Just a few high frets that needed some local leveling. Fretwork was better out of the box than some VERY expensive guitars I have owned. The bridge is the weak link. The strings go through the bridge requiring a very high shim under the neck to get the proper break angle on the saddles. Added lock washers to the switch and pots to make them sit down properly. Volume/tone were wired like some old Gibsons were. Rewired to a more typical configuration. I like playing the rounded neck and the shorter scale with 9's, tuned down a half step. Fun guitar to work on.

It will need a professional set up!
I first want to point out that mine didn't include a gigbag as is shown in the listing?? Not really an issue for me since it hangs on the wall and the guitar I received is worth the $70 for a short-scale guitar (24")It's built well, the neck is straight kind of "chunky", the deep blue finish is quite good, and there are no excessively sharp fret ends. The electronics are all working, but some 60-cycle buzz. (no shielding?)As for a guitar for a starter, straight out of the box? It needed a full setup to be comfortable to play. It is my hobby to tweak and modify guitars so again, not an issue for me, but if you're just learning guitar, you should know it will not play well until it has had a professional setup.Overall, mine is a good quality instrument and enjoyable to play. Nice job Glarry!

QUALITY OF GLARRY GUITAR
This is a Glarry bullet mustang copy and good one I might add. This is the second Glarry in a month for me. The first one was so good I had to try my luck again. This guitar is as nice as the last one. I've seen a lot of negative reviews on Glarry guitars. This has not been the case for me. Both guitars came perfect in looks and quality for the money. Of course they need a set up as most all guitars do. They are on par with Squire guitars of mine. I think Glarry has really upped their quality control and are paying attention to reviews. Only negative is aftermarket parts like pickguards etc. Nothing that I've found fits. No reflection of these guitars. Just a fact. I would recommend these guitars as a budget guitar for anyone.. For the money they can't be beat.

Shocked
I am very surprised at the quality of this guitar for the price. I gave 59.00 for it and after setting it up it plays great. I have several guitars, expensive, cheap, and in between. I think I will try a few more from this brand. Just keep in mind you will need to do a little bit of work but then it’s great.

Pretty much trash, save your money...
I purchased this one because I was highly impressed with the quality and playability of the first Glarry guitar that I got before this one... unfortunately this one is garbage right out of the box, where to begin...fret buzz everywhere, action was all over the place, neck bowed, bridge saddle way off from proper intonation, cheap flimsy plastic knobs over the volume and tone pots, will not stay in tune even after changing strings, headstock too loose and not seated properly...I get that it's a cheap budget guitar, but this thing is just plain garbage all around, the only redeeming quality is that its pretty, cuz it looks like an old Fender Mustang... definitely a hanger not a banger

PLEASE READ IF YOU PLAN ON GETTING THIS ONE!!
It's pretty crappy...The strings coming already on the guitar is sometimes a red flag from guitar companies, The pickups suck really bad and are really flimsy... Hope this helps!!!!
