The bearing wasn't held tight and it stopped quickly when spun. BUT from experience with a similar spinner, I realized there was a ring inside the fingerholds that can be tightened against the bearing, making it snug. So once that ring was tight, the fingerholds were tight, and the 'arms' were tight... it spins properly, almost silently, and for a long time. No instructions. Most negative comments seem like they probably would have been resolved had they known to tighten every thing that's threaded and screws in.
