this book has actually completely changed the make up i put on my 74 year old face. viz 'if you want to look old use powder blush' she writes. took that on board as well as advice on, basically, keeping it simple, restricted colours for eyes,cheeks and lips and a number of useful no nos. also in each chapter advice on particular products in a range of prices. all very useful and rather cheering. using a cc cream instead of foundation, for example, has already made several people say how well i look and i am very pleased with the new much more natural appearing me.

Great tips and guidance on what products you should be using. Saves time and money wondering what to choose every time you hit the make up department.

Everyone 50 years of age plus should read this book. It has so much useful information to help understand what you need for skincare, makeup tips, hair etc in fact it covers everything. Readers will be surprised on the information about the hype of skin creams. It's also a boom that you can keep referring back to. It's worth the money.

Have bought several of these books now for friends turning 50 and everyone has loved it. As a Beauty therapist myself I think the book is great!(Sadly the last book I bought had a slight tear on the outer cover which was a shame as for a gift)

Wow! So happy I bought the Kindle version...learned so much!!! Easy and interesting read and informative about how the beauty industry not only works but how very interconnected these companies are. Especially love the chapter on the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi...finding perfection in imperfection.
