Review: Need this for "easy days". - Apparently, I'm one of those metabolically resistant people that takes just a little bit longer to adjust to a ketogenic diet. I needed easy days when I was first starting and occasionally I still need them because I'm still adjusting to the diet. I've only been on it for about a month and I still have days where I feel incredibly tired and I'm still trying to get the hang of what my macros need to be for somebody with insulin resistance and high cortisol levels. This book can really help people who are just tired and don't really have the energy to meal prep using recipes that have 15 or 20 ingredients. A lot of the recipes are super easy and they're delicious. They are mostly all ingredients that you can find locally no matter where you live. Many are budget friendly. I also found the even if you don't follow the recipes exactly, this is more about giving you ideas for ways that you can pair foods together so you don't get bored while still keeping it easy. You can get some ideas on what flavors would work together so that you don't give up from boredom of just eating eggs and avocado everyday. I also like that the author often includes the brand names of certain key ingredients that she uses and that takes some of the stress out of grocery shopping. For instance, I don't want to be standing in the grocery store and reviewing the nutrition facts on every pizza sauce in the store to try to find the lowest carb one. She tells you which brand she uses and if your local grocers don't have it, you can always look to see if desertcart has it. You don't have to waste your time hunting around for one that tastes good and has the right carb counts. Not all of us live close to stores that carry endless options for low carb living so I like the simple ingredient lists and I like that she lists the name brands so that if you can't find them, you at least know what to order. Review: Great Recipes - We have tried most of the recipes in this book and they are phenomenal. I'm not a veggie lover but because I wanted to be healthier I've decided to start using them in my foods more often. Anyway this one has some but not an over abundance of it. It has helped me so much to stay on Keto because it gave me the recipes and I didn't have to think about counting carbs, fat and protein which is always my downfall when dieting. I'm simply not into keeping up with every little thing I put in my mouth. With this book I've been able to manage dinners by the week (I grocery shop weekly) and only add the things to my grocery list that I need. It helps me to stay out of isles I don't need to go in. And recently with Walmarts pick up option it makes it even easier for me not to wander. The only issue I have is an issue I seem to have with all of these books. There are no side dishes. Just main dishes, salads and deserts. I mean I love meat and salads but can I get some low carb side dishes other than salads. BUT, I can honestly say some of the dishes in this book can be easily used as sides, like the roasted brussel sprouts and bacon. Can't believe I just said that, brussel sprouts? In MY mouth? Who knew! Other than that it was super easy to read, easy to follow, the ingredients weren't ridiculously expensive once u got thru the initial investment( there were things I never used or bought and were fairly expensive like the himalayan salt, toasted sesame oils, coconut and almond flours, ghee etc) it tends to save u a bit of money because a lot of the recipes have some of the same ingredients. I've been able to build a list of different dinners and lunches for my husband (who I'm worried about being on Keto since he is a skinny man who in no way needs to lose weight). U really can't go wrong with this one

Practical Recipes, Many Familiar
I bought this to see the overall keto approach and hopefully find a few gems. This book is good for that. Many of the recipes are things people make all the time, like a pot roast. Since I am a practiced and experimental home chef those recipes are of little interest. But including them I think helps convey to people that most of keto cooking is about what you don't eat. You can do it without eating anything new. It was informative to see how heavily avocados, sour cream, and cream cheese are used and therefore how versatile they are. Ditto for pork rinds. I did bookmark 16 recipes to try, several of which I would not bumble into on my own. In order of appearance: Berry-Avocado Smoothie, Cream Cheese and Coconut Flour Pancakes, Cream Cheese Muffins, Creamy Tomato-Basil Soup, Broccoli-Cheese Soup, Cheesy Cauliflower Soup, Coconut and Cauliflower Curry Shrimp Soup, Roasted Cauliflower with Prosciutto, Capers, and Almonds; Cauliflower Potato Salad, Loaded Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes, Keto Bread, Crunchy Chicken Milanese, Root Beer Float, Chocolate Mousse, and Peanut Sauce. I am pleased with the book but glad I didn't spend 4X for the spiral bound version which I very nearly did.

One recipe in particular
This book is alright. It has quite a few recipes in it that I think are quite a bit high in calories and/or carbs in them (residual if you’re following macros to lose weight) that will take up a large percentage of your daily allowance, so I would probably only give it three stars by itself. BUT, it has one recipe in it that had me increase my stars to all five. The sesame pork and green beans recipe here is phenomenal. I’m my three months on Keto, this is by far my favorite recipe that I’ve found. It’s super easy, super quick to come together. I pair it with cauliflower rice and I’m having to strain against the impulse to eat it all at once. I just as one Tbsp of hot Chile oil to the sauce and bomb diggity.

Yummy recipes, but hugely time consuming meal plan.
The things I like: It’s a quick read and it is helpful with basic Keto concepts. The recipes are quite delicious and I have been enjoying the way they taste. The things I don’t like: The meal plan involves a TON of cooking. I spent an entire week preparing food that could be stored before even attempting the weekly meal plans. I spend anywhere from 1-3hours in the kitchen every day even when I plan ahead. If you have time to cook and clean up the kitchen most of your day, this book is going to be just fine for you. I have been making the breakfasts and lunches and substituting a snack for dinner. I am going to spend a whole week only cooking the dinners just because I don’t have time to do it all. Some of the recipes assume you know a lot already. The breakfast bake says to use cooked spaghetti squash on top of the 50 minutes it takes just to cook the bake itself. I could not spend two hours making a breakfast meal. I had to do it at night. Don’t get me wrong... it was delicious, but very time consuming. There are a few mistakes in the book. Wrong page numbers on the meal plan, etc. Overall, I like the book a lot. The meals are good, but he meal plans are ridiculously time consuming.

Perfect for single people!
I love this cookbook. I live alone and most recipes are for 2 people, so I can easily divide and have 2 meals. Recipes are easily doubled or tripled if I have a party, or go to a party. Get this book!

Easy, some pictures, and quick recipes
This book is wonderful. I have made 5 things from this book, and they have ALL been so good. Our favorite is the Root Beer Floats. This is a perfect starter Keto cook book for people that are learning how to dive into the Keto diet. I know a few of these recipes will be a staple in our keto diet every time we do it. The beginning of the book lets you know what essentials you should have in your pantry and what utensils too. ( I LOVED that about this book).

BEST BOOK IF YOU ARE NEW TO KETO COOKING ESPECIALLY for people with Limited Time or cooking skills
This is a great recipe book if you are new to Keto cooking and eating. Most recipes are easy, quick with limited ingredients. I bought one other book that said it was a "Beginner Guide" to Keto cooking and eating, well unless your a chef from Le Cordon Blu and you have the stock room and spice rack of a Michelin Star restaurant I couldn't even begin to make most of the recipes they had in it. Anyway, I found this book to be a GREAT QUICK START to Keto cooking without having to be a formally trained chef. It's also great if you live a fast lifestyle and once you get the handle on some of the easy recipes they will be your GOTO when you're in a hurry. I'm super busy, but I did have to learn to slow down a bit to learn this new way to eat and cook. The book has easy to follow directions, Ingredient List, and great food. For a beginner I loved it!

Empfehlung!
