Leaks badly with compression fittings.
This fitting leaks, when connected to a PEX-B plastic swivel connector. The reason it leaks is because the swivel connector is a COMPRESSION fitting, which is not compatible with this type of plastic fitting. It will work with NPT (and teflon/pipe dope) but it will NOT work with any compression fitting. It's because the thickness of the RIM of the threaded fitting. The rim is thinner with a BRASS fitting, so I ordered the brass version, and it worked fine. NOTE that I use other plastic fittings with my PEX-B swivels, but I don't know why only this fitting just doesn't fit. UPDATE I found out that the threads use BSP (british standard thread) and that's why it doesn't fit. To make this work, it will be necessary to get an adapter 1/2 BSP Female x 1/2 NPT male. Very frustrating this info is not given, you just need to know that "G" refers to BSP, which is not available most places in the USA. On testing I found that this device becomes progressively more inaccurate as flow rate decreases below 1L/min. Below about 0.1 L/min it won't spin at all, and reads zero. The accuracy goes from 100% to 0% linearly between 1.0 and 0.1. Fair enough. Now I know the plumbing, i'd say this is a pretty good device, works as expected, but won't work for me, because in my RV, flow rates are mostly below 1L/min.
