Enjoyable
Compact, well-built, excellent sound driving old JBL J216 speakers in a desktop setup at moderate volume. No hiss, using through Topping DX1. Speaker posts too close put card between plugs to prevent shorting. Did not use equalizer.

Volume knob takes several turns to adjust.
sounds good, looks good. automatically turns on when power is applied, equalizer settings are nice.volume knob takes like 10 full turns because the interface is digital and counts up by percent and volume is too low until you hit about 75%there is some feedback from Bluetooth signal

Equalizer adjustments bad
Overall, it does the job BUT.... the equalizer adjustments are extremely bad! Hard to get to. Hard to tell which is which. Could have been accomplished with a couple extra buttons on the unit, not the remote. Adding some more to the LED display so you can tell what you are working with. For these controls, I give a -5 stars

Sounds great, but pricey
I am using this amp to power a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers that I have owned for quite a while. The old head unit I was using died a couple of years back, and have been looking for something powerful enough to push them without breaking the bank. I have picked up a few of the less expensive speaker amps in hope that they would push enough power, and all of them failed in this regard. This amp is definitely compact. I was really surprised by how small it was. Having this sit on my entertainment center is no issue. The brick it comes with is pretty large, but unlike less expensive options that's a good thing. This power adapter can actually push the amp to its rated power. The connections on the back of the unit felt quality, with no issues involving the banana plugs I am using. It may be a bit on the compact side when attempting to run your wires, so banana plugs are definitely the way to go with this device. The remote is pretty barebones, but that is to be expected.Sound quality is pretty good, though it could be a bit better. The bass and treble adjustment can be pretty hot at times, causing major sibilance and distortion. You can definitely tell this is doing its rated power, though. They bring the Klipsch speakers I am using to life. I am currently using this with a cheaper DAC from my television, and I have had no issues. I cannot comment on the Bluetooth quality much, but it definitely seems to work well enough. One thing that would be nice to see on this unit is a sub out. It would simplify my setup quite a bit if it just had any sort of RCA output, but given the compact nature of this unit I understand why it was left out.I would say this is probably a purchase for most if the smaller and less expensive amps can't handle what you are throwing at it. This is a perfect addition for me, but most will not need as much power as it can provide. If you have a less expensive amp and feel it needs a bit more punch, this is definitely a valid option.

A good product, but not competitively priced.
First of all, I'm no audiophile, just a casual listener. I'm using this amp with the bluetooth input to power four ceiling speakers in my garage, and for that it provides ample power, though perhaps not quite as much as my Fosi bt20A with the same tpa3116 chip in it. The controls are really simple, and the volume/control knob has a quality feel to it with detents. Construction feels solid, not cheap at all. Sound quality is decent, probably equivalent to most tpa3116 amps but again my setup for this is pretty basic. I did notice some mild background hiss noise, even by using the bluetooth connection, which is a little unusual since that's normally something you only get through the wired inputs. This issue may be solved by case grounding, but it's really not enough to bother me - I just turn it off when I'm not using it. My only big issue with this unit is the price. For about the same cost, you could find an equivalent Fosi Audio unit with a newer chip and all the features that this one has, so I'm not really seeing the advantage of this over the brand name product. I got it for free, so it's fine for me... but there is a lot of competition for amps in this price range and you can probably do better for your money.

Good sound. "100W" not RMS output. No remote control of BT device. DAB radio interference.
This is very good for such a physically small, neat amplifier though at £86 you would certainly expect it to be ok.I tried it both via RCA inputs from a CD player and a DAB radio and then via Bluetooth from a Samsung phone. Bluetooth connection was no problem though volume had to be increased on phone (or amplifier). I'll come to the DAB radio difficulty later. The sound was very good when played both through my elderly Mission speakers and then through some Sony speakers with which it's going to be used. (They were part of a relative's old but quite expensive Sony mini HiFi package).Unsurprisingly, this little amplifier is definitely not as good as my Technics amplifier, but certainly impressive for something so small. The website and leaflet describe it as "100W" but that must be "music power" and not RMS, but that's ok even if potentially misleading. The graphic equaliser options work, but I tend not to use such settings much. The bass and treble are also alterable. Slightly counter-intuitively, on the remote control the left arrow is + (increase) and the right arrow is – (decrease). There’s also a bit of a learning curve to master the other options, but ok once you’ve managed to work it out.I expected that, when connected via Bluetooth, the remote control would be able to control the sending device (next track, pause etc) as is the case with all 3 sets of BT headphones/earphones that I have (one of which is very cheap and another over 10 years old) and the Bluetooth in my car. Unfortunately it does NOT. Slightly annoying, but not really much of a problem.DAB radio interference: Despite normally receiving over 100 DAB radio stations perfectly, the amplifier causes signal interference, even with strong stations if the radio (Pure, 3 years old) is very close and is unusable if the line out is connected to the RCA inputs. I presumed it would be the switching type power supply (a well recognised problem) but the problem was identical when the amplifier was powered using a big, old heavy traditional transformer and the amplifier's power supply itself caused no interference problem when powering 2 x 12V 5W bulbs wired in series.I later tried an older Roberts DAB radio and although reception strength was also affected, it was usable as a source apart from the stations on two weaker multiplexes. Unfortunately it was the Pure radio I had planned to use with it. Amplifier will mainly be used for phone/tablet via Bluetooth.Overall, this is quite a desirable little amplifier. Very small and neat but works well. Disappointing that the remote control cannot control the linked BT device and may not be good for anyone planning to play their DAB radio through it, depending on the radio.

Tiny amp that packs a punch.
If you are looking for a small power amp there is certainly no shortage of tiny class D amps from a variety of Chinese manufacturers, the more competent of which are even gaining the attention of serious audiophiles.Add something like the brilliant WiiM Mini streamer and a pair of compact speakers and you can assemble a very listenable system that will outperform even the best bluetooth speakers for less than £250, whilst occupying far less space than a conventional hifi component setup. The Witologie S1 is in fact a thinly disguided version of the well regarded SMSL A50 amplfier, differing only in a slightly altered front panel design. This palm-sized device features a digital display to show volume level and equaliser settings and includes a remote control to change between the RCA and bluetooth inputs, control volume and access the simple menu system.Within the menu there are 5 equaliser pre-sets to choose from along with source direct and bass/treble tone adjustments. The display backlight can also be dimmed here or turned off altogether using the FN key on the remote (a function not detailed in the supplied manual).Around the back are twin RCA sockets for line level input, left & right speaker sockets which can accept either bare wire or banana plug connections, a detachable bluetooth antenna and the power jack. The S1 can run on 12-24 volts and the supplied power adapter is a hefty 36 watt unit which is almost the same size as the amp itself. Fortunately the cable is long enough to enable it to be hidden away out of sight. This combination gives a quoted power output of 100 watts per channel into 2Ω, which equates to a more realistic 40 watts per channel into 8Ω. Signal to noise ratio is 100dB at 0.02% THD with a 20Hz-20KHz frequency response.Bluetooth is the latest 5.0 version and it has a good range, easily picking up the output from a WiiM Mini streamer in the next room. Connect your playback device directly via line in, or even better via an external DAC such as the FX-Audio DAC-X6 (which has very similar dimesions to the S1), and the Witologie amp produces very clean and concise audio typical of the TI TPA3116 amp chip at its heart.Add a little equalisation (the E2 Super Bass setting is my preference) and this little amp can give many larger and more expensive devices a very good run for their money. I'm running the S1 through a pair of Roth Audio OLI RA1 compact bookshelf speakers in my office and it easily fills the room with sound. When I purchased the S1 it was £20 cheaper than it's SMSL twin, so at less than £50 for a remote control amp of this quality it was an absolute bargain. Even at the regular price it still undercuts the equivalent SMSL and often has a money off voucher available too. Thoroughly recommended.
