RogzCatz NightCat Collar, Purple

I liked this collar so much I bought one for both of our kittens. After seeing the results of elasticated collar injuries I always go for break away collars. The main difference with this break away collar is that it has 'Variable Load Safeloc Buckle' so you can adjust how easily the clasp opens. These were our kittens first proper collars and although they had been wearing kitten collars they did still scratch at them a bit at first. The fabric held up very well to the scratching and play fighting unlike others that fray. The material is highly reflective, not too stiff and the buckle is lightweight but sturdy. Although this collar is a bit pricier than others in this case you get what you pay for, good construction/quality and additional safety features than standard. I would definitely buy this collar again and recommend it to others.

Great product, this is our 4th or 5th of this brand as we replace it as it goes old, dirty, fades etc. Very soft, my cat does not even notice she has it on.

Word of warning: The picture does not really show the little birds printed all the way around. I bought this thinking it was plain, and the birds are not really our cup of tea, design wise, and it is quite feminine - not that our boy is bothered. This is my only qualm however; overall is robust, comfortable and has an adjustable release force which is handy.

Not to insult anyone's intelligence (other than mine) there is a small red adjusting slide on the rear of the catch which sets the breaking strain of the collar depending on the size of your cat. When delivered it is set on the lightest setting for a kitten for example. I did not spot this with the one I first purchased and my large Tom cat lost it the first night! On this replacement I have set it just short of maximum so hopefully he wont lose it so easily.Great product.

This has stayed on for over a year now. Initially it got really fluffy, as the cat was scratching at it. But I sheared the fluff off and it's going strong. The clasp is adjustable, so you can test it and get the 'breakaway' strain.The only confusing thing is the breakaway clasp is the clasp. There is no separate fitting to take the collar off. But it works.

just arrived today. need to put it on merlin before he goes out. it is well made.

I thought I'd wait before I reviewed this item... It's been a couple of months and the collar is still on him... a minor miracle!He still manages to catch beasties every now and then, even with the bell, but this has been cut down significantly, which is fantastic... less standing barefooted on massacred mice and decapitated birds.The above could have something to do with his masculinity being questioned by the little girl next door, "Oh Mummy! look at the lovely big fluffy cat... she's beautiful" mummy replies "Its a boy cat"... "but she's wearing a purple collar and the bells pink" ... mummy "no, its a boy, boys can wear purple too"... to which the little girl added... "oh, is he like uncle Jack?" .... enough said. ;)
