Perfect size for transferring work to home
This is perfect for carrying multiple files from office to home! It’s well made and the shoulder strap makes it easier to carry. The quality is well made and reinforced at handles. Bonus… it fits perfectly inside those little collapsible on wheel crates if it’s too heavy to carry!Haven’t tried the lock but the instructions are well written. Oh and I love I can fold the entire thing back up to store in small spaces!

It was as advertised! Hf
It is adequate to hold my legal documents and in an emergency can be easily transported to a safer location incase of flooding or fire.

What’s your purpose?
Because the answer to that question will help determine how happy you are with this product. The pictures show a man standing jauntily with this thrown over his shoulder as if he’s getting ready to walk the city streets carrying this thing. Not what I want to be doing for sure. It is big and it is bulky and carrying this down the street with it over your shoulder will have you bumping into people right and left. And, depending upon how full it is (and with what items) this would become unpleasant very quickly. That said, if you are going to use this in your home office as a way of keeping some documents or other items safe from fire it might be very effective. I have been using a metal box for storing important documents but it is not fireproof so when I saw this I decided to upgrade. I simply put the entire metal box inside and am using the extra space to add in more items that I want to keep safe. I am utilizing zipping plastic bags to cover important documents in addition to adding them to the box. There’s no way to really test out the fireproof and waterproof claims but I’m hoping that this provides another level of security to those things you really don’t want to lose in case of some catastrophe.Other than moving this from a closet to the desk and back again or grabbing it to throw out the window or into the car in an emergency I won’t be carrying it around.

Easy to assemble, easy to use, gets the job done!
Great for file storage and safe guarding. Not quite sure about how well it can fire proof your papers and other items, as this is a thin material. I'm sure this will not catch fire, but if this were to be in a fire, just the amount of heat alone may damage documents. However, I cannot say for sure whether or not this will in-fact safe guard important documents from fire, as I have not tested this.Otherwise, this is a nice size to keep all the important documents and other small items safe, as the locking mechanism locks by locking the two zippers together. I do love how this was implemented. This would be perfect for transporting documents as well, as this will collapse down for easy storage when not in use.

Can't exactly road-test, but seems solid enough
It's a pretty solid document container. The locking mechanism took me a moment to figure out, but it's designed to lock the zipper pulls at the front of the box, keeping the whole thing closed. Hanging file folders fit nicely in it, and it's got handles and a carry strap to make it easy to transport in a pinch. If mobility for a solid block of files is needed, this might do well.I didn't exactly want to try setting it on fire to test the fireproof quality, but the feel of the fabric exterior is similar to other fireproof fabrics I've encountered. My main concern with fireproofness would be the locking mechanism and zipper -- the zipper feels like plastic, and the lock forces the zippers themselves to remain perhaps half an inch apart when locked, which would provide an avenue for sparks to reach documents inside the box.Notably, this box is NOT waterproof -- it might save your documents in a fire (though I'm a little dubious, see above) but it will do nothing for you in a flood. However, for ordinary storage that is portable and decently secure, it seems like a good option.

Nice storage for your papers
The Fireproof Document Box with Lock is a good way to store important papers and files when you don't have a safe at home. It has enough space for a lot of papers and can be divided in two sections. It also has space for several cards, passports and so on.The zipper seems to be very sturdy and is easy to move. The box itself looks durable, too. The shoulder strap is kind of useless for me. The box is not handy enough to be carried around with it. But the side straps are useful.I don't think the document box is really waterproof. It is water resistant but don't trust it, when it really gets wet. The zipper and seams are always the week spot. So store important documents in a plastic zipper bag!I also don't think it is fireproof but I hope I don't have to find out anyway. The lock is superfluous except you want to protect your documents from children. For me the document box does what I expect: it is a good portable storage for our files. But in my opinion it won't save your papers in case of flooding or a fire.
