I was going through melamine whiteboards way to quickly because of ghosting. Finally I decided to solve the problem once and for all and get a glass whiteboard. I don’t have another glass whiteboard to compare with this one, so all I can do is compare melamine and glass whiteboards.First you need to understand what “ghosting” is. It is when your whiteboard gets stained because not all of the dry erase marker comes off. I like the more precise definition from Clarus, which reads “Ghosting is when your dry erase marker ink bleeds into the surface of your board” (by TEAM CLARUS on FEBRUARY 18, 2012).The relevant factors that will push you towards a glass whiteboard are* How much does ghosting irritate you?* How often are you willing to deal with getting a new whiteboard?The relevant factors that will make you stick to melamine are* How much are you willing to spend on a whiteboard?* How heavy a whiteboard can you tolerate?Ghosting irritated me enough that I was replacing melamine whiteboards quite often. Presumably I will never have to replace the glass whiteboard, so the price gap is a lot more tolerable. Add to this the amount of time and hassle I go through every time I replace a melamine whiteboard, and glass becomes much more attractive. The downside is that glass whiteboards are heavy an expensive. With a melamine whiteboard you can just hammer an nail into your drywall and hang it like it was a picture. When hanging a glass whiteboard you will need to use the included drywall anchors and/or invest in a stud finder. You are going to want to ask yourself if this one-time investment in both time and money is worth it. If you change residences often, re-hanging the glass whiteboard is going to eat up a lot more of your time. An upside for glass is that erasing is smooth and effortless. I was also pleasantly surprised that I don’t get any dry erase marker particles in the air after I erase the board, meaning I don't have to hold my breath after erasing to prevent a coughing fit.I couldn’t be happier with my decision to finally switch to glass. Easy to erase, no dry erase marker particles in the air, and I have solved my ghosting problem once and for all.

Great 5 star product! One tip for cleaning, to avoid ghosting (seeing what was already written on the board even after it is erased) use glass cleaner and a squeegee. A cloth or erase is good for erasing minor things, but when it is time to clear the board, this is the best method.Package came undamaged. I purchased the 60"x36" version and it is the perfect size. Very elegant; so glad I went for a glass board instead of one you would find in a school. It is smooth to write on and easily erases. Took about 45-60 minutes to install, but it was truly an easy install. Most of that time was measuring and double checking. The instructions don't mention it, but you definitely want to use a laser level. Anyway, great buy!

Thanks to everyone that recommended ensuring your measurements were correct. If you do that its a very quick and simple install. Great quality and looks spectacular. No issues with erasure as its tempered glass. There is some shading but much of that can be addressed with lighting. Very happy with this purchase and have no negative comments.

I bought this glass whiteboard to serve as a nice accent to the home office I am building. I need it for my daughter to help with different problems especially those in math for her school. The issue is that the marker tray I was sent is 3 feet in length so it could not be clipped on to the 3 x 4 whiteboard I purchased. The marker tray that was sent could not be attached to the length of the whiteboard. In contacting the seller, I was advised that they could not replace the marker tray and that they will give me a $16 refund. Though I have no choice but to except the refund, I have to tell you all, it does not look that great mounted on the wall without the marker tray because the tree brackets extend down. Buyer beware… Before you have it mounted, make sure that the correct size marker tray is included in the box. I am recovering from shoulder surgery and cannot unmount it myself and have everything shipped back just to get the correct marker tray. It is an undue hardship for me because of my disability. If you want to purchase this board, make sure that the right size tray is included before you have it mounted; if you don’t, you may be unlucky like I was making this purchase because I couldn’t even get a replacement tray to go with the board either. Anytime you pay this much for a whiteboard, you expect to get all the appropriate parts inu order for it to look nice. I won’t ever purchase from this seller again.

Pretty cool! Installation is reasonable, seems sturdy. Glass is very nice. With the right markers it's a good contrast surface. This is sometimes the drawback for me with glassboards.While labeled and sold as new, the hardware had been obviously opened and the mounting brackets were scuffed. Seems like this was a return and re-shipped to me without proper inspection. The scuffs weren't too hard to hide and I wanted to keep moving with this so I didn't consider the hassle of trying to box it up and send it back.The drywall anchors were low quality. If I were selling something like this, I would provide high quality anchors to make sure it couldn't fall even in the case of inexperienced installation.Pleased with the product, not so much the execution. Still 4 stars cause it's a great glassboard.

Have been looking for a nice whiteboard for a while, ordered this one and absolutely love it. Installation was pretty easy for it being as heavy as it is. Don't forget to order an eraser, I was expecting it to come with one but it didn't...
