I like to melt zero sugar chocolate chips and make chocolate dipped strawberries for a family treat. I usually dip two pounds of strawberries I also drizzle chocolate over raspberries or blueberries placed in mini cupcake liners. With this mat I was able to take the hot double boiler and set it on the mat on the kitchen island. This was a great advantage because formerly I could only set the top portion of the double boiler on the kitchen island; invariably the chocolate would cool on the cold granite. I would have to return it to the stove. Now I set the whole double boiler on the mat. The hot water lets the chocolate stays melted. It makes the whole process go much faster. So it's a time saver for me.

I needed a mat for under a tabletop feeding chair for my 7-month old grandson when he stays with me. I needed it to be non-slip so the chair wouldn't slide on the mat, and the mat itself wouldn't slide off the table. This has worked out exactly as I needed, and the table surface is protected as well.

These mats are great. Cling and lay flat. Easy to clean and durable.

The creases bug me and I'm returning it. We've tried everything mentioned in other reviews, washing, steaming, ironing, etc. Nothing has worked. The mat itself is good. I would buy another one if they would ship it rolled like the picture shows.Update: April 21, 2025. Customer service contacted me and informed me that the smaller size, 16x24, mat is shipped rolled like the picture and they sent me one. Its very nice. I would have liked the large one but would rather have the cleaner smaller size vs. looking at the creases. They did give me a suggestion to try on the large which I haven't done yet. That is you can put the silicone mat in hot water（70℃-80℃） for 20 minutes let it get soft, take it out and lay the mat flat on the countertop, and then squeegeed out the air bubbles like applying tint film,making the mat completely attached to the countertop, waiting for 1-2 days, the crease will be reduced.I plan on trying that. Pictures show both mats. Thickness is the same for both and suits my purposes fine.Updating to 4 start for customer service and the small mat.

I have a new(ish) dryer that's already starting to show a bit of rust on the top surface.The washer/dryer are in a laundry room, so although not out in plain sight, it's visible and unsightly from the kitchen area.The washer is a top loader, so I cannot do the obvious and build a workspace top that spans across both.This mat fit perfectly and gives the area a clean look. I was initially looking for this in white. I could not find white in the size I needed so I bought this in this light grey. My washer and dryer are both white, but there is silver and grey detail on my LG washing machine. This grey mat blends well.It's thin and not bulky at all. Even with an uneven top area (the dryer filter trap), it's thin enough that it lays across that without buckling. When I need to pull the filter out for cleaning, I just flip the mat back.Bonus that the silicone also keeps the mat in place, so when I do need to flip the corner back to remove the filter, the rest of the mat stays in place and there's no need to reposition the entire thing back in place again.Yes, it did come folded. Yes, shipping in a tube would probably be better, but the creases didn't last. I didn't do a thing to it but just flatten it out and lay it on top of the dryer. The creases were gone the next day.This is silicone, so if you're looking for something that you can slide things across, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a mat for a work surface so things won't slide around, then this would be perfect.One thing to note . . . this is not the same as a desk mat blotter. If you're thinking of using this as a desk mat for writing on, it may not work well for you. The silicone is soft enough such that writing using a ball point pen on a single sheet of paper will poke through.Very happy.

UPDATED REVIEW: I was contacted by the seller to make things right and they did. I did keep the original mat, the creases never came out BUT I was sent a new mat that was rolled and not folded and it is 100% better! It looks amazing and I love it now! They hold up, are good quality, and are easy to wipe and clean. (Added photos of the new rolled mat).Seriously considering returning this mat. If it was “rolled” in shipping as it shows in the listing it would probably be great. But it was folded and it just looks messy on my new kitchen island top. That being said I’ve tried everything to remove the creases ….I’ve placed it in the hot CA sun, steamed it with a steamer, washed and soaked it with very hot water and placed a very big heavy cutting board on top of it. It’s still creased. Boo! If you don’t care about creases the mat is nice for food prepping and cookie baking, wipes easily and is a nice color. You can feel dust particles and crumbs on it too because it is silicon and it’s a rubbery silicon. That doesn’t bug me much I just wipe with a damp cloth. I wish they rolled it, I’d be very happy with it then!

I ordered this mat because, although my previous one is fine for mixing a drink, it is too small for preparing a meal. This big one fits on my countertop and accommodates most of the items it takes to make dinner. My countertop is tile and tends to catch food debris in the grout lines. I can pick up the mat and shake crumbs etc. in the sink, so there is less wiping, and I was happy to have a nice variety of colors to choose from.HOWEVER, I would have given this mat a better rating if it were thicker, but it's thinner than I like. When it arrived it was folded and stuffed in something like a cellophane envelope roughly 5"X6" and it has never quite recovered (see photos). Also I find it difficult to completely remove some food stains. Would not purchase this again.
