MOLLOM 2 Way Circuit Breaker MCB Distribution Protection Box

I recently purchased the 8 way circuit breaker protection box, and it’s been great for organizing all the breakers in my solar backup system. The box is made from a solid PC+ABS alloy material that feels durable and looks professional. Installation was straightforward. The DIN rail and neutral/ground buss bars come pre-installed, though I had to adjust the buss bars slightly to fit perfectly. There are no pre-drilled holes for conduit, so you’ll need to drill your own. The top shell has a clear window, allowing quick monitoring of breaker status without opening the box, and it even supports a small padlock for security. It’s compact yet offers enough space for wiring if planned properly. The design is neat and professional, making my solar backup setup look organized. Highly recommended for anyone setting up a solar or off-grid backup system.

Meets all my expectations only time will tell quality outside. Not worried about damage seems solid.

Clean design and great weather resistanceThis enclosure is perfect for housing my outdoor circuit breakers and protectors. The plastic material is thick and durable, and the seals keep dust and moisture completely out. I love the transparent flip cover because it lets me check the status lights and breaker positions instantly without opening the entire box.

These little breaker boxes works great for small automation installations.

The problem with these thing plastic boxes having knockouts is that it's almost guaranteed that you would crack the plastic if you actually tried to "knock it out" -- so you need to use a step drill anyways. Creating the knockouts just makes the plastic more thin if you aren't drilling the maximum size -- so having the knockouts there at all is a design mistake. If they just used a bit heavier plastic this box would be so much better. One other thing that I've noticed from buying these boxes in the past is that they have very little "spare room" for wiring, so if you can, buy much bigger than you need. I got the 12 way for 3 double pole breakers and it's okay for the wiring space. If you actually try to size it for just the breakers you are going to use, ehhh, it will work and I guess it's fine once you've sealed it up but can be a pain depending on what you're doing. Minus 1 star for the useless knockouts encouraging you to crack the plastic case instead of using a step drill.

I installed heaters on our golf cart's lithium battery to keep the bat warm in the cold winter. I used a circuit breaker to turn the heaters on and off. The breaker is housed in this Mollom box and the box functions perfectly to keep dust and water off the breaker.
