Skeptical at first about its potential impact, I was quickly proven wrong. This little gadget has transformed my mundane lighting into an experience that's both functional and atmospheric.The installation process was surprisingly straightforward. I'm no electrician, but the clear instructions and simple design made it easy to integrate the dimmer into my existing setup. The real magic, however, began once I connected it to my home's Wi-Fi network. The ease of controlling my lights through my smartphone was a game-changer. I wanted to upgrade my bedroom light switch to one that had smart features so I can turn them on either by voice or through the app. I chose the Lutron Diva Smart dimmer because it has the traditional design and style of my existing switches and also didn't require a neutral wire. The installation was super easy. All I had to do was safely remove the old light switch and connect the line, load, and ground wires to the new one. The switch worked instantly after turning on the breaker switch. The dimming slider didn't need to be calibrated either. Also there's very small LEDs on the side that displays the light brightness as you're sliding it up and down. Additionally while the dimmer is not in use, the LEDs light up very dimly as a courtesy/guide light. It's not bothersome at all at night or when the lights are off.In order to use the smart features, you'll need to buy a Lutron hub. It's essentially a small device that connects to your router through an ethernet port. That'll enable the integration with your smart home devices. I've attached the photo of the completed installation here. I think the switch looks great. It has a modern flair with no screws on the mounting plate.

(Note: I lightly prefer these over the original smart dimmer.) These are great. I spent years buying less expensive smart switches and plugs...but finally took my own professional advice, spent the money and switched to Lutron's Casseta system throughout the house. I have a pico switch at our front door with "All lights on" and "All lights off" function. I know Lutron makes the best control products available from my line of work, but now I really understand - it is super user friendly and fast to install and program. There are a few bugs that I'm working out but, the best consumer-grade system by far. Now that everything is dimmed and controlled, I can concentrate on the lighting design of my house without software distraction. Works great with Google home so far.

As an Apple HomeKit user, Lutron Caseta products have been my go-to for smart lighting. I had upgraded all of the switches in my previous house with Lutron Caseta dimmers and switches and never had any trouble with them. They just ALWAYS worked flawlessly, both with HomeKit, and as manually operated switches. When it came time to sell our home and we disconnected the internet, wifi, and luton caseta hub, the dimmers, switches and pico remotes continued to operate normally as manual dimmers.When I saw that Lutron had incorporated the DIVA style dimmer into Caseta I knew I'd be using that to upgrade my new house. It addresses the one complaint my wife had about the Caseta dimmers...that they weren't tactile, and it was hard to feel which button to press in the dark. The Diva Smart Dimmers use a paddle style rocker switch that is very tactile and feels like interacting with a regular light switch. It also uses a slider for dimming and has LED lights to indicate the dimming level. The new dimmers are just as reliable, and the look and feel great to use.

Good for DIYs. I installed a 65-switch system in a 5500 sqft house and it’s working perfectly. No issues with hub range and responsiveness to the Lutron iphone app and homekit commands is instantaneous. Make sure you will be under 75 nodes before you start or you will regret not going with one of the more expensive Lutron RF systems (there’s no compatibility between them, so if you need to go bigger, you’ll have to rip and replace everything). Did everything myself - the first junction box was confusing but after examining it more carefully I figured out how the wiring was done in our house and now i can do a switch replacement in under 10 minutes. It’s exactly what I was hoping for and the equipment looks terrific.

No neutral wire in my older home means fewer options for adding smart home features. Lutron solves this and makes a great ecosystem. I have Lutron, Wyze, Kasa, etc. so I was not excited about adding another app to run lighting but Lutron makes it easy and reliable. I've used them in other houses so I already had the hub. Installation was easy for me, a DIY'er and the app is easy to program and use.

It does not have a "favorite intensity " button but if you press ON twice, the light turns ON at 100%. So, you can set a night/lower brightness with the dimmer slider and press ON twice to get full lighting during the day.

I have Caseta dimmers throughout my home, and was excited for the Diva line since they are, in my opinion, a better style (because they match most other decora switches). These are easy to install and setup. More importantly, the Lutron control network is extremely stable - I've never had a switch not respond or lose connection.

At 90CAD, this is far from cheap. Dimming work properly but Ethernet Hub is needed for the smart function. The toggle feel great, I like the way that the dimming control is working. Using the slider to adjust the desired intensity, double click the power on to override it and be at 100%. You can also override the slider from the app.That said, It is not possible to adjust the fade-in / fade-out when turning the light on/off. I don't mind the fade-out but I would like to adjust the fade-in timing especially at 90$.Note: Make sure you have a full size light switch junction box otherwise it won't fit.

Doesn't pair correctly with new style paddle dimmer when purchased separately and not used with the Lutron hub, goes directly to full brightness when paddle dimmer is pressed and not the pre set dimmed level, if your using a hub it will update the firmware according to Lutron and it will work correctly, if your not using a hub get the diva dimmer/paddle remote as a kit as its pre programmed, minor issue.

Lutron switches work great. But no wallplate included as advertised.
