This kit allows you to attach your phone to your laptop so that your workspace is easier to control. If you're having to work on your laptop and also use your phone at the same time, this kit means your phone is at a position where you can use both at the same time. The magnetic connections are strong enough to keep your phone secure, there's no risk of it slipping. The light is good if you need to use video calls, there's no need to have other lights sources. It comes in quite a small box, I was surprised at how small the box was, but it had everything needed without a lot of excess packaging. I'm not very tech savvy and don't have many accessories so I'm not sure if this suitably priced, it does seem to be a bit expensive but it may be a case of you get what you pay for and hopefully this is made to last meaning I won't need any other kit in the future. From my first impressions,i was impressed with how compact the packaging was and how easy it was to set up and use. My only concern is the price, but that could be age thing, I'm of an age where I've started to be bothered by the prices of things whereas twenty years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about the price of something if it was what I needed, so I've still awarded this 5 stars because the price issue is something that may not be important to everyone.

The rolling edge pro kit is something I personally thought would of been a brilliant product for keeping my desk slightly cleaner and offer some nice functionality with the included light just for when taking calls using my phone. What I will say is this set is really well put together and thought out it does give you are real premium esq feel behind it but for me I don't honestly believe the £89 price tag at the time of this review can be justified ultimately, compatibility for this either having a macbook or a laptop that is super flat on the backside of the screen or even a monitor that is flat unfortunately for me mine don't offer this but I still got the usage out of it via mounting it elsewhere. Ideally the people I see who could benefit from this the most would be somebody getting into streaming as it offers a more budget wise option to camera and lighting via using your phone as the camera and of course the included light which is surprisingly good nice addition as well is the included charger. Premium set that an average person like myself would think is bonkers for the price tag but the clean aesthetics this does offer to some is a massive win, like I said limited ultimately but I think this is something a streamer would be more likely to use instead of opting to buy a DLSR camera and mounting it using an iphone will do the job. I would recommend this kit

The rolling square edge pro gear is a delight to unpack and use. The devices are delightful to hold and use. There is a common rounded design language in the QI charger and the Video light. There is one other piece in the pack: the Core. This is a MagSafe holder on a hinge that you can stick to your computer or use on a table as a stand for the light. The kit includes a permanent magnetic sticker as well as a non-permanent “suction” sticker that you can attached to the core rather than leave a sticker on your MacBook. This has proven effective for the last week; I stuck it onto the core; and covered up the sticky side with the included cover when it’s not attached to my laptop. It doesn’t leave any residue; and lets me switch from my laptop to external monitor when I want. With the sticker my phone as a continuity camera and have it in a place that lets me sketch diagrams on conference calls and share them. If I use the light, I can get a couple of hours from it. The light works; but it’s very basic controlled by a single button; there is a single button that powers the light on and lets you step through three temperatures with two brightness settings for each. It charges via usb-c. The core attaches well to my MacBook out of a case, though alignment matters – at first it kept slipping off. If you get one adjust the phone until it locks in place. The light has a firm fix and holds itself tightly in place. Sadly, you only get one core in the kit; so, you can use the light or your phone as a continuity camera but not to their best effect. If you want to use the core with a non-apple phone there are a couple of adhesives The qi charger is compact and according to ampere charges my iPhone close to 7.5 watts. It’s a shame that you can’t charge the light with the QI pad, but you can use the usb-c cable to charge both. What the Full kit needs is a couple of the core mounts (even at the expense of the qi pad); two in the kit would let you use them to support an iPad to use them as a screen; or support your phone and the light for conference calls. Both of these would be great use cases for me.

Ho acquistato il Rolling Square Edge Pro Full Kit attratto dall’idea di avere un sistema di standing del cellulare insieme a vari accessori, con la promessa di una soluzione modulare e magnetica, completa di supporto per smartphone, luce e caricatore wireless. Purtroppo, sebbene il concetto sia valido, l’esperienza pratica non è stata così fluida. Punti positivi: Design curato e multifunzionale: il kit è esteticamente ben fatto, e l’idea di avere tutto magnetico e integrato è sulla carta molto comoda. Luce potente: i 1000 lumen della luce sono più che sufficienti per illuminare bene il volto durante call o videoconferenze. Caricatore wireless magnetico: funziona discretamente, anche se non è tra i più rapidi. Punti negativi: Gestione dei magneti un po’ complessa: l’assemblaggio non è immediato e spesso i componenti si staccano facilmente se non perfettamente allineati. Serve un adattatore da incollare al computer: per fissare il supporto è necessario applicare un adattatore adesivo sul laptop, cosa che avrei preferito evitare. Questo compromette un po’ la portabilità e la reversibilità del sistema. Stabilità non sempre perfetta: se lo smartphone è un po’ più pesante, o se si regola spesso la luce, il supporto tende a spostarsi. Nel complesso, è un kit originale e interessante, ma richiede qualche compromesso in termini di praticità e utilizzo quotidiano. Non lo consiglierei come soluzione universale, soprattutto per chi cerca qualcosa di immediato e facilmente trasportabile.

Die Lieferung erfolgte ganz schlicht verpackt in einer braunen Kartonverpackung. Minimal klein. Als ich das Ganze sah, war ich doch schon etwas enttäuscht aber ein Blick in die Anleitung brachte dann Klarheit und ich bin doch recht angetan. 1. Die Halterung am MacBook/Notebook etc. verfügt über ein Klebepad. Jedoch ist die Halterung dann trotzdem nicht dauerhaft, da das Klebepad einfach nur sehr stark via Magnet an der Halterung befestigt war. :) Super, ich dachte schon, dass ich nur einen Versuch hätte. 2. Es gibt weitere Pads, die ich irgendwo hinkleben und dort die Halterung nutzen kann. 3. Die Halterung verfügt über einen Drehmechanismus,. Ich kann das IPhone seitlich am MacBook nutzen aber auch nach oben über den Bildschirm drehen. Die ganze Halterung ist super flach aber funktioniert erstklassig gut. Hier wurde echt mitgedacht. Da es nur eine Halterung gibt, kann man entweder das Licht oder das iPhone daran befestigen. Oder? Nein, das Licht kann auch an der Halterung mit angebracht werden, da beide Seiten als magnetische Halterung dienen. Also Halterung auf die MagSafe Ring vom iPhone anbringen und darauf das Licht legen. Fertig. Rein von der Verarbeitung und der Umsetzung her bin ich mittlerweile echt begeistert. Aber der Preis schreckt dann doch etwas ab. Den Preis habe ich daher mit 3 Sternen bewertet. Die Halterung ist einfach nur 5 Sterne wert und nicht weniger. Ich würde sagen, die durchdachteste, leichteste und flachste Halterung, welche ich bisher testen durfte. Wer sich ein iPhone leistet, sollte bei der Halterung nicht sparen müssen.

Solitamente colleghi e clienti rimangono stupiti dai miei accessori e inizialmente c'era l'effetto wow: effettivamente è comodissimo avere agganci calamita per telefono, luce e altro. Addirittura ne avevo presi due. Se viaggi, treno, aereo, vai spesso dai clienti, stai in hotel : sono molto comodi perché non ti perdi più il Cell o altro (ci ho agganciato anche il portafogli magsafe per dire). Il vero problema è che la colla si scioglie dopo qualche mese.....!!!! E non risolvi nemmeno se usi il secondo foglietto di colla che trovi ok confezione... Cede dopo qualche mese anche quello!!!!!!! Peccato perché l'idea era proprio buona e per questo non metto una stella.

Das Ganze basiert auf einer Magnetbefestigung, wie man sie von iPhones mit dem MagSafe-Sys- tem kennt. Für Geräte ohne MagSafe werden Magnetringe mitgeliefert, die auf der Rückseite aufgeklebt werden können, und so mit dem System kompatibel sind. Um ein Smartphone nun beispielsweise neben einem Laptopbildschirm zu platzie- ren, wird das klappbare Basiselement auf die Rückseite des Laptopdeckels geklebt. Ein Klebepad ist dazu bereits aufgebracht. An dieser Basis befindet sich bereits eine Halteplatte, welche das Smartphone über den Magnetring haften lässt. An dieser Basisplatte kann nun auch das induktive Ladepad befestigt und mit dem USB-Anschluss des Laptops verbunden werden. Im Ergebnis hat man während der Arbeit mit dem Laptop das Handy immer im Blick und man kann es gleichzeitig laden. Ein weiteres Modul ist ein LED-Licht mit integriertem Akku, welches anstelle des Smart- phones an dem Halter befestigt werden kann, um die Umgebung auszuleuchten. In der Praxis leuchtet die Kombi aber eher direkt in die Augen und blendet eher. Um ein Tablet auf diese Weise neben dem Notebookbildschirm zu befestigen empfiehlt der Hersteller ein zweites Set des Rolling Square Edge. Wer Interesse an diesem System hat, sollte sich das Präsentationsvideo ansehen, denn die Bilder sagen mehr als 1000 Worte. Ich habe die Praxistauglichkeit getestet und muss der Sache zugestehen, dass sie zumin- dest, wenn man unterwegs ist, ihre Vorzüge hat. Man klappt den Halter bei geöffnetem Laptop um und klatscht sein Handy an den Magneten. so hat man beide Bildschirme so- fort im Blick. Optional kann man mit dem Ladepad gleichzeitig sein Smartphone laden. Das Prinzip ist nicht auf Notebookdeckel beschränkt, macht dort aber am ehesten Sinn. Bei Nichtverwendung könnte das auf dem Laptopdeckel klebende Basismodul trotz der sehr flachen Bauweise stören. Ich kann der Grundidee folgen, halte das Ganze allerdings auch für kompliziert und etwas zu aufwändig gestaltet. Wenn das Ding einmal klebt - damit meine ich den Metallring am Handy und/oder die Basisplatte auf dem Laptopdeckel - kann man das nur noch mit dem mitgeliefertem Schneidedraht wieder lösen. Die zusätzliche LED-Lampe ist zwar stylish, aber von nicht allzu großem Nutzen. Die Verarbeitung und Präsentation des Systems ist zweifelsfrei auf sehr hohem Niveau. Das gilt sogar für das periphere Zubehör, wie die Ladekabel oder optionalen Klebepads. Trotz- dem wird man sich fragen, ob das eine Investition von 99,00 Euro rechtfertigt. Um es jetzt abzukürzen: Wer hierin genau das sieht, was gesucht wurde, wird sich über das modulare und hochwertige Set freuen und gerne den Preis zahlen. Ich persönlich hätte aber Bedenken, einen Magnetring auf die Rückseite eines 1000-Euro-Smartphones (Android) zu kleben, nur um es mit einer Insellösung kompatibel zu machen. Da iPhones mit MagSafe be- reits werkseitig über diesen Ring verfügen, besteht dort das Problem nicht und entsprechend leichter fällt die Wahl zu diesem modularen Haltesystem.
