The movie tells the story of two Brooklyn plumbers who are brothers and best friends: Mario, the brave one with the "let's-a go" attitude, and the perpetually anxious Luigi, who would prefer to go nowhere. We open with the Super Mario Brothers reckoning with their struggling plumbing business, and wind up in a whirlwind adventure through Mushroom Kingdom. Great story, great visuals on PS5, but poorly encoded for 4K disc players
Great movie however don't expect to get 4K on a standalone 4K player, the 4K encoding appears to only work on Playstation 5 for some reason. The 4K disc only plays in 1080i on my Panasonic DP-UB9000P1K player despite the player connected directly to my LG G4 OLED TV and other content playing correctly; so if you are planning on watching this on a dedicated player other than a PS5, wait for the double pack with Mario Galaxy to see if they fix this problem. Otherwise, great movie series and I hope the movie after Galaxy is a great hit too.
