A Shop Upgrade Worth Every Penny
In the world of woodworking, having the right tools and equipment is half the battle won. The JessEm Rout-R-Lift II router lift is one such gem that has proved to be a fantastic upgrade to my workshop. Right from the get-go, the quality of this router lift is evident. The robust construction out of aluminum with a phenolic top plate stands testament to its durability. The installation process was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and getting it up and running didn't take much time. The compatibility with different router models is a great feature, and it fit snug with my Porter Cable 690. This flexibility is great as it leaves room for router upgrades in the future without the need to change the lift. The ease of operation is where this lift shines. The double-sealed ball bearing construction makes raising and lowering the router motor smooth. It’s a small feature that makes a world of a difference, especially when precision is key in woodworking projects. Adjusting the height and changing bits from above the table has never been easier. Gone are the days of fumbling with bent wrenches under the table, a hassle any woodworker would be glad to do away with.I’ve put this lift through its paces, and it has stood up to the task every single time. The solid construction ensures there's no flex or play, providing a reliable and steady platform for routing operations. The CNC machined components add to the rigidity and overall durability of the lift.In essence, the JessEm Rout-R-Lift II has not just met, but exceeded my expectations. It's a well-thought-out, well-constructed piece of equipment that has brought a level of ease and precision to my woodworking projects. It’s an investment that has already paid dividends in the quality and efficiency of my work. For anyone looking to upgrade their routing setup, this lift is definitely worth considering.

They claim this is the Best Router Lift on the market
After a couple of years of use I will not argue with that statement. I see no reason for me to ever wear this one out. The quality is superb. I would recommend this to anyone that can afford the level of quality and craftsmanship.

Perfect fit for Dewalt 7491 saw using Dewalt 618 router.
Getting prepared to learn how to build cabinets, doors, and drawers. Building them for the garage first just in case.I'm familiar with framing and finish work, but never ventured into fine woodworking.I do have the best portable contractors saw on the market, so I went to UTU and watched a few videos on cabinetry and also building saunas.I will be building both a sauna radius T&G (convex and concave) and will need the 2 1/4HP router to make these cuts. The shower will then be stood on end. As shown in the picture. As for the saw, it's a Dewalt 7491. The router is a Dewalt 618. I have provided pictures of the entire setup for information if you need it. This is the best way I've found to still allow the guards to be stored.Use a 24 x 24 piece of plywood and then cut it down to fit the radius in the deck. Run the aluminum supports out as far as possible. mount them to the saw with #408 ubolts and 1" angles on top in the the deck edge.As for the Jessum lift, It was the best, yet at an affordable price. I have operated the lift and it works excellent. Smooth, accurate, and flat. I mounted it in such a way that I can utilize my existing fence or adding a sacrificial fence by using clamps.Just a note, the Dewalt 7491 is the most accurate jobsite table saw available. The rack and pinion fence works excellent. Just like the Jessum router lift. Two things. After going to school at UTU and watching videos, I notice many of the people made the same mistake by not leaving enough surface area in the recess. After tracing your line around the lift onto your deck, measure in 7/8" and make that line your cutout. That way your slack adjusters (2) will perfectly contact the recessed border underneath. Also, if your a yank, you will need four 1/4 x 20 thread inserts for wood for the corners. Also, I wouldn't use anything less then 3/4" for your deck.Jessum did a great jobOne thing I would have preferred would have been a blank red cap to place over and protect the router when not in use.All in all, this was a great purchase. If you're just starting out, don't let it scare you. Just take your time and avoid mistakes.

Overall satisfied with the quality
Overall I'm very satisfied with the lift. If you are getting it to go in a kreg router table it will require some modification to the table. The mounting holes are off by an 1/4 inch.

Perfect For My Needs
This router lift is much less expensive than the Rockler or Kreg lift but just as effective. I purchased the Jess-em template to make the cut out and then dropped this lift right in. My Bosch router fits perfectly in the lift and I can raise the collet well about the table top to easily change bits. And if I want to use my router as a hand held unit I just lift the lift and router out of the top and drop the router into the regular or the plunge base. The lift comes with three insert rings but if you want they sell a complimentary set of additional rings right her on Amazon; however, I haven’t seen a need yet since the three rings that came with the lift seem to be all I need. They also provide all the tools needed to put the router in the lift and to adjust the router to be flush with the table top so no need to purchase additional tools or go digging through your tool box to find the appropriate hex wrench.
