Bought for an old Edgestar portable ac unit whose original exhaust hose had cracked with age and had been shortened to compensate but it no longer reached my window. I had to purchase 5" compatible hose to extend but didn't want to fully extend either hose as I believe that plus exposure to years of heat caused the plastic to fail. I attached a photo of the coupling I received scaled to the one pictured. The finish was very rough, especially on the inside threaded area. The wall thickness was very thin. The diameter was smaller than the 5" hoses it was supposed to couple.
