This item did the job and old iPod working fine

This turned out to be an easy fix, and I'm really glad I went for it. Just be very careful with the battery lead to the socket ; take your time and be very gentle. This is the only real place to go wrong. I watched a really good video that made this a dawdle.The battery is charging well. Time will tell if it's durable. I knocked a star off as the battery did not fit well at first. I needed to gently form some of the corners and such. These batteries love to start fires, so I don't like modifying them in any way.

My old iPod died and wouldn't work. This battery did the trick and saved my music collection! Install is easy, simple slide the Hold button over (so the orange shows) and patiently pry open the case carefully avoiding damage to the case and wires inside, using a plastic pry tool. Work around the case starting on the long side, until it lifts apart. There is one wire connection from the old battery inside, you can gently pull out from the inside of the iPod. The old battery can be pried out, its held down with double stick tape, so a may feel firmly attached.. Note how the old battery is situated, and insert the new battery the same way. Gently push the wire end from the new battery into the connector using your fingers. You're done! Press the clamshell halves of the case together. Battery came with a 50% charge.

I scored on an ipod video with a busted screen, so I purchased a battery to replace since I would be inside. This one does the job but as I was installing it seemed to be a hair wider and thinner than the original battery. Also it seems to run out of juice rather quick (not sure if it's just me) but I usually keep it plugged in to my speakers. All and all it's good for the price. Ships quick and packed nicely

As the title mentions, my 5th Gen iPod has been reborn. The previous battery could not hold a charge to play more than 10 songs between charges and I couldn't take it anymore. Yes, the iPhones we now use, have tons more memory, and long battery life. But the one feature that keeps me using my iPod is the control wheel, I find it so much more convenient than using a touch screen.Anyway, this battery seems to be decent quality for a good price, install was straightforward. The box did come with one single pry tool, unfortunately you really need 2. Luckily I had a set of automotive trim/panel removal tools that worked fine for this application as well. If you order this, please ensure you get the tool kit for this job, it's gonna be a real hassle to perform without quality prying tools.
