It may add a bit of bulk to the thickness of your phone.When it is folded shut, but it is absolutely worth it in the end.Because of the benefits outweigh any of the risks.It was an awesome value for the price that I paid.And it is absolutely gonna be a lifesaver. The colors really pretty. It seems really thick and durable. It's super scratch resistant. I like the screen protector aspect of it on the outside.And it fits really perfectly.I'm really happy to have this.It's so grippy.

This one I love. I was avoiding rugged cases and aiming for slim since ever, but this one has won me over. After using it for a year or so I can attest to: excellent impact protection, the phone stands well both vertically and horizontally; easy grip, and great color; minimal wear. Will stick to the brand

3 years later and it's still working great. Fantastic construction and quality. The outside screen protector that is glass is very responsive and I have never had a problem with it. Great grip and I have dropped this thing plenty when getting out of the car. No damage to my phone with this case on it. If I upgrade my phone I will look for a case from this manufacture as it has served me well.

UPDATE: I recieved a new case, and this one, thankfully, had a properly aligned hinge. Also, despite the instructions stating to put the bottom half on first, the only way to really get this case on is by putting the top half on first, then the bottom. The built in cover screen protector hasn't had any problems with touch screen sensitivity and fits the cover screen like a second skin. Flipping the hinge protector piece is a little weird, but I can see why supcase did this... If the phone hits the ground, having the gap between the cover and the hinge creates a space where the hinge protector takes the shock impact of the drop. Overall, its a very protective case ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've had my share of supcases before, and they never disappoint with quality and protection. I was excited to get this case to protect my phone, but this case unfortunately would not fit my Flip 5, no matter how much I tried (mine could have just been defective). There was no safe way to get the top half of this case on without the potential of over-bending an already fragile phone, just to get the case on it. The instructions tell you to start with the bottom piece, then install the upper. The problem with this method is that the top half of my case was too long, and overlapped on top of the hinge protector, so there was no way to snap the top half flush with the phone because the hinge protector gets in the way. Not only was the top half too long, but the hinge protector on the bottom half would not open fully, and instead was installed at a very steep angle. Sounds like no big deal, but this defect would have made it impossible to fully open the phone all the way because of the hinge protectors angle. Again, perhaps mine was just a defect. I have already requested a replacement, so hopefully the new one won't disappoint. Either supcase needs to massively change the instructions, or there was a potential quality control issue on the exact length of the upper and the angle of installation on the hinge protector. Given that supcase has been delayed in releasing the rest of the flip 5 cases (still only black and green availible at the time of this review), I'm beginning to wonder if, in fact, there are production concerns.

I can't believe that there are one star and two star reviews when the phone case does its job - protect the phone when dropped. Drop it far enough or hit it the right direction and any case will break! The trick is to NOT have the phone break! Plus the complaint about having to flip the hinge protector down. I just opened and closed my phone now and my hand on the back automatically closed the hinge cover. It's really a non-issue, yet listed as a complaint. I've never left it open. I've dropped my phone a few times without any damage to case or phone. Here is my evaluation after a year of use. The Beetle cover makes the phone a bit thick when in pocket, but that's part of the price of having some protection, like the 1980s big bumper blocks for the 5 mph crash thing. I could live without the stand, which could thin the case a bit. Still it does its job. Still better than having one of the giant phones that no longer can fit in one's front pants pocket. The Flip fits about any pocket, even with the Beetle case. I need that as a motorcyclist. But no way I'm having even the smallest phone fit comfortably in the side pocket and no way I'm sticking my phone half hanging out of a back pocket. So the Beetle does the job as well as possible. The case also is just wide enough making it not fit in my ProClip phone holder in my vehicle, almost but not quite fitting. But that's more of an issue for the ProClip than the phone case. Nice part is that the lower portion of the Beetle case is that it slides off easily and the phone fits the ProClip then. So I can live with the situation decently. Again, the stand could go away for me, maybe a case that doesn't have it, but I know that features like that sell others on the case. I forgot that it was even there, never using it. I've recently tossed the belt clip thing, not having ever used it either. Be nice without the extras for my use. So, in spite of minor issues, it does deserve a five star for the past year I've had it. I sure hope if I drop my phone that the case will break first. I'll trade $30 for $1000 damage any day.

Ok where do I start? I brought this phone case in Sept 2024, it is now Nov 2025. This case has lasted me more than a year, probably could have gone longer if it wasn't for my 1.5 yr old throwing it a couple of times. I'm now shopping for a new case again because the hinge broke off yday after a fall. This case has kept my phone well protected & has been really easy to use. The kickstand helps it stand up but the only down side to that is, it never stands straight so it's always a bit slanted (my only complaint). I wish there were more varieties of colors aside from the basic 4. I give this case 5 stars, worth the price and durable, def recommend it.

I bought the green case in September 2023. It is now May 2024. I've only dropped my phone two or three times since having it in this case, and I must say that it does do well for protection from a fumbling drop. However, I expected the stand to last longer than it has. The little plastic thingies that attached the stand connector to the bottom of the phone case have both broken off and now that part is just in the way to where I can't use my stand now. I'm really disappointed because this is advertised as such a tough case that can handle anything. This hinge is the Achilles heel of this case. So instead of spending more money on the same case, I'm just going to use my hot glue gun to glue that little flap up to the stand so that I can still use the stand part, but it won't be in the way now. All in all, this is a great case until that hinge breaks and renders your stand basically useless. Quite the disappointment for what I paid for it.

It seems pretty sturdy so far. I've been using it a while and it's held up.
