Excellent value
It's an excellent pen and includes what might be a lifetime of ink. It writes beautifully and smoothly. I got it for doing ink drawings, but it's not an art pen despite it's beauty, it's a writing pen.

Good Pen 👍🏼
First, this pen is very pretty- for those pen addicts who appreciate a beautiful pen. Second, it worked just perfect. They provide the injection converter in case you want to use bottled ink. (Which I will use sometime, so I appreciate that.) The ink cartridge went in very easily. One good push and twist. And it worked right off. I gave it a little thump. No squirt, no mess. Nice weight and feel, too. Did I mention it worked? (And yes, I have had other pens that cost more and didn't work properly.) I doodled up a storm. Perfect lines. It's not the same as a good India ink, but it serves my purpose and it's a good deal for the price.

Almost Perfect
The media could not be loaded. My list:Writes smoothly.Ink flows quickly.Arrived on time.Aesthetically pleasing.I abhor blue ink but I’m going to use those cartridges because they came with it.Blue ink from a fountain pen does hit differently. However, it would be nice to have the option of all black cartridges. The only complaint is the top won’t stay on during use.I need it to remain in place to balance the grip when I’m writing.I’m going to figure out a solution.Perhaps a bit of wax in the cap.Price is great so I don’t regret the purchase.I’d buy it again in fact.

After using this pen for a while and comparing to others...
My first fountain pen. I read more reviews after I purchased and began to worry that I picked a bad one since some were so critical. I've used about 1/3 of a black cartridge and it writes amazingly. I can't remember ever enjoying writing so much. Pen looks simply beautiful. Cartridge was easy to install and it only took a few seconds for the ink to get to the nib. Since I am new to this, there was a learning curve figuring out angle and pressure. But that didn't take long once the ink started flowing.UPDATE:I have to take a couple stars off this review. After having used a Hongdian that my son purchased and a Parker that my spouse purchased, I can no longer consider this a 5 star product. The writing is not smooth in comparison, nor is the consistency of the way the ink is laid down. It can be very spotty and you have to hold the nib at just the right angle to keep the ink flowing well. When the ink is flowing it still can write well, but having compared the pen to 2 other brands that actually perform really well, I am not as impressed with it as I was when first used.Yet another update:So I made a slight adjustment to the nib by simply pressing down with a moderate amount of force and at about 45 degree angle. This caused the 2 prongs of the nib to separate a bit and now the ink is flowing well with much less skipping. Gave another star back to the pen. I still enjoy writing with this very much. The flow of the ink from this pen since it was first received is REMARKABLY better. It is definitely a 5 star pen. Writes very smooth and wet. As well as virtually any fountain pen I own.

Beautiful
I bought this for my son’s girlfriend for Christmas. She had been wanting one, and she LOVED this. It came in a nice gift box, the overall look was great. I came with a lot of ink cartridges. Writes smoothly. Definitely worth the small purchase price.

Awesome and elegant!!
So I was tired of the typical throw away pens, and decided I wanted to try out something a little more elegant. I carry a pen everyday in my breast pocket, so I wanted something that was genuinely nice. This pen hits the mark, it has a heft that says quality, and the action of writing will actually have you looking for things to write.

Really cool pen but…
I really like this pen! I couldn’t wait for it to get here so I could use it. It writes very well and is fun to use.The only problem I have is that it leaks at the lid. I saw a lot of ink on my fingers and couldn’t figure out how it got there until the only thing I was touching was the lid. I took some toilet paper and wiped the top of it, and sure enough it leaks through.I am going to purchase a more expensive one and see if it also leaks like this one. Because again, I love everything else about this pen!

Pretty, but leaks .
It's seems random if it leaks or not. This is my 2nd fountain pen. I don't do returns because of the process. I'll try it more, but at the moment I think the next one will be a zebra. It looks cool, but is a fast design. The cap clicks on securely when not being used; the pen doesn't really hold the cap on the back well.Ok I'm going to try another ink cartridge. This is going to be #3 for chronological sake. It is a pretty pen. I soaked it in water and put a new filler in. The ink gets to the point faster now. I'll see how it goes. It us writing at the moment. I've had 2 cartridges fall out inside the pen so far. I recommend soaking it for 15-30 minutes before reloading ink. It does have a cap clip build on, so it seems to have been designed to carry in a pocket; I will be leaving this pen on a desk and not carrying it with me in the future. It's quite possible they do not all have these issues. It's my believe that the poker in the pen doesn't quite open the ink enough and doesn't have enough friction against the ink capsule to guarantee it doesn't fall off. Some products are designed on the edge of operation and may go either way.I'll update this about a month after buying the Dryden Fountain pen. I'll go to 4. It's has an appealing look asthetically; Its elegant while simple. The bump on the top helps avoid scratches on on wider area. The weight is good. It seems to help to soak it between refills. Personally I carry it with the nibb up to prevent leaking in the cap. The back of the pen screws on very securely & even holds ink in if the cartridge comes off when dropped (not all pens lose cartridges on a drop, but the tight threads are nice. It writes nicely. The nibb cap snaps on very well, if dropped I rarely lose the lid.
