These storage shelves have been excellent for my garage and storage areas. They’re very sturdy once assembled and hold a lot of weight without feeling flimsy or unstable. I actually liked them so much that I ended up buying several of them. The adjustable shelves are really convenient for organizing different sized items, and the overall size fits well without taking up too much space. Assembly was straightforward, and the finished product feels solid and durable. If you need reliable heavy-duty shelving for a garage, storage room, or workshop, these are a great choice.

I’m very happy with the PrimeZone 40" W x 20" D x 59" H Heavy Duty Shelf! Great price for such a sturdy shelving unit. It was easy to put together with two people — one person can definitely do it alone, but it takes longer and is much harder because it really helps to have someone hold the corners while the other snaps in the shelf bars and places the boards. Once assembled, it feels very sturdy and holds a lot of weight without any problems. I’m using it in my storage closet for heavy boxes, and it works perfectly. Definitely a five-star purchase and I would recommend it to anyone needing strong storage shelves!

The pictures show an industrial strength heavy duty rack with wheels and buckets of block sealer sitting on the shelves. I was surprised when the small box showed up! The shelf size is actually 39 1/4" by 19 1/2". The space between the front uprights is 36 1/2". So the bins I planned to use will not fit and I will have to find some 12 inches wide. The thin metal frame pieces are fairly easy to assemble. The 1/4" thick pressed board shelves are not going to bear much weight, so I will have to make some thicker shelves for heavy car parts and put them down low. The price is reasonable for these cheap racks and they will work fine for the old junk I plan to store in them.

Sturdy and easy to put together. I am a petite lady and put the 40" wide x 59" height shelves together, by myself easily. A mallet is included, which is helpful! The shelves can be positioned evenly spaced or at different points along the notches for your personal storage needs. I like it so much that I'm here buying 2 more. Also, I have another like this from another company that has metal shelves - but I much prefer these harder press board shelves. These don't move or "pop" (if you know what I mean) with sliding heavy items in and out. These are silent and smooth and surprisingly strong - and as I wrote, I much prefer these!

The shelves are easy to put together - not as sturdy as I thought it would be BUT defintely better than the plastic shelving that we had in our garage that started bowing in the middle. Also, the wood will get stained so does not seem treated so you could "wipe" up spills if needed. Other than that nice shelves.

I have bought three of these over the last six months or so because they have turned out to be great shelves to organize the basement. I started with one that I believe is about 24 or 36 inches by 18 inches and 72 inches tall and I liked it so much I got another one just like it. They worked great for puzzles and games and toys. Then I decided to get a bigger one that is 48 inches wide to store some bigger items on. These have been great additions! Even the shipping comes faster than expected! They seem sturdy and good quality. It can be a little tricky to put together, but once you get the hang of it and make sure the legs are lined up correctly, it really just falls into place and is rather simple. It's when you are hooking the legs together that if you don't line them up right they can get stuck but the company gives you tools like mallet and gloves to work around all that. Love these shelves!

Many of these metal shelves on the market do not come with cross supports to add strength and rigidity to the thin fiberboard, MDF, chipboard, pressed wood, pressboard, or what other names they call this not-plywood product. Usually not necessary in 2 ft wide shelves, but anything 3 ft or longer (like this 4 ft model) benefits from extra support. If you were using real 5/16 or thicker plywood then the cross bars may not be needed. This assembled as easy as others like it, with one caveat. The cross supports are attached with nuts and bolts so you need a Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench or nut driver to tighten the nuts and bolts. A better solution would be if the factory in China would weld pockets into the inside of the long horizontal bars, so you could just slip the 'L' portion of the crossbar into the pocket and no nuts and bolts would be required. The "wood" shelves are thin (1/4" or 6mm) so attach the cross supports to make a strong set of shelves. The boards have a distinctive chemical smell but that dissipates with time. Since most of these shelves are installed in workspaces or garages the smell is not objectionable after a few days. I used these shelves inside my house to display my audio gadget collection, so as I have done with plastic shelves, I use self-stick carpet squares (from Amazon or other sources) to finish off the shelves and protect the shelf and my equipment. A plus with this brand, the black glossy paint is very well done and looks much better than the typical battleship grey used in many of these metal shelf systems. With the black glossy finish and the grey carpet I installed, these shelves work great as a display system. They include a little rubber mallet to knock the parts together, plus nice rubber feet for the bottom and 4 more that I put at the top to cover the sharp corners and the assembly guide has a QR link to a YouTUbe video of the system being assembled. I assembled it by myself, but these are much easier with two people.
