My husband had open heart surgery in 12-2019. His sternum has never fused back together. He complains constantly of the rubbing, popping and movement. I thought that this would be perfect. The bar in the center front would hold the sternum more securely. It does that. He's not a small person and I got the XXL size. But, he complains that he can't stand the brace under his arm pit areas. Says it hurts. My goal was to stabilize the sternum and it does that. He just won't tolerate the feel of the brace under his arms. Even with him not wearing it I'd still highly recommend it. He should have been given something like this when he was sent home from the hospital but they gave him a large stiff teddy bear to hold agains his chest. If they'd used something like this brace I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't be in the shape he's in now. He's stopped complaining so much now because he's afraid that I'll insist that he wear the brace for support.

I got this for my husband after having open heart surgery to help give him some extra support. Kind of like using an ace bandage after fracturing a rib. It has worked great and has definitely minimized the clicking at his sternum. He doesn't keep it on 24/7 as you should take breaks from it and not depend on it too much. It has been three weeks now & he swears by it and has already minimized the majority of the time using it. I think he will continue to wear it when he gets back to work though just to help with support for the time being.

This product is a fairly well made failure, because of the chronic incorrect sizing chart.I needed it for early recovery after CABG surgery, and it was a complete fail.It does not fit. Nowhere close to a correct fit.My wife is a dress maker and knows how to take proper measurements.Mine were exactly in the middle of the size on the chart, but the fit was nowhere even close.As noted in all the previous reviews, buy at least one size larger than you measure on their table.This product is NOT suitable for a woman with breasts.

Product appears to be well made. But the XL was too big for me. The next smaller size available was a M. So I was not able to swap it out. Had to pay return shipping costs for an item I could not use or swap out.

I already had 2 open-heart surgeries and wish I had seen this product before. I got this while searching for something to protect my recently placed pacemaker which feels loose while I exercise. I wanted something that would make me feel it was protected but also kept the area in place. I actually raise it higher so that it covers the pacemaker and less ribcage so it looks more like a bra on me but it does a magnificent job for what I was looking for. It also allows me to drive without the discomfort of the car seat belt over the pacemaker. This product is wonderful. I just placed a 2nd order since I will require a 3rd open-heart and will use it for that purpose when the time comes.

Thank you for the rib brace it is very well done especially the two pads that keep your ribs force back in place. I have had two torn ribs since July and been in therapy at West Texas rehab in Abilene Texas and they had nothing like this product it is well-designed and designed with care. I am going to show this product to West Texas rehab because I think it is perfect for torn ribs and they have nothing like it sincerely Michael R. Casey

Just like the other reviews about running small. I ordered according to my size, the small and the only way it fits is if I squeeze the life out of me. Sending back. Hope the next size up will work.

Pointless for anyone over an A cup. Don’t waste your money.

Wow, this may have fit a child but not me - and we measured my ribs. I have a fractured sternum and this was recommended to me, but now I have to try and find another one.
