Bought two sets of these forks a few years ago for escargot so dinner guests could dig snails out of the shells. Just got them out of storage and measured with my digital caliper. Metal thickness is .080. Distance across the tips of the tines is exactly 3/8". From the narrow tines back to the widest part of the fork where the tines end as they bend/blend into the handle measures about 9/16" across the widest point. I have no regrets buying these little forks. After three years they're not rusted. They're perfect for escargot.
