I use this as a supplement to the 21st Century Slow Release Iron Tablets that I take in the morning, I take these with my evening meds (the usual old person stuff for cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.). I am anemic, so the regimen of iron tablets twice a day works well for me,The reasons why I selected this particular iron supplement are: it has vitamin C for absorbancy, which I have to take with the morning iron, and it is low dosage. A normal dose of this is three gels; I only take one. They are very easy to swallow, and I have not had any typical iron side-effects such as upset stomach, etc,To be sure, if I had to select a single source of iron I would probably opt for the 21st Century supplement that I am taking in the morning. However, as a "booster": this one is perfect when taking the low dosage single gel instead of the normal three as a daily dose. Combined with my morning supplement I believe that it has a positive effect because that fatigue I get later in the day from anemia is not there. Of course, everyone is different and will react differently. And I an not saying that this is a magic solution - it works for me, and I am not taking the full dosage.

Wife takes them and really likes them. I just got done ordering more. Great product.

Seems to be easier on the stomach than harder tablets. I prefer the soft gels like these now
