I wanted it to help with coloring my eyebrows. The bristles are a little too soft for that, but the brushes are easy to hold onto.

This is a pretty nice set of brushes, especially for just a hobbyist painter like myself. There are enough basic styles and sizes of brushes to make them practical for all sorts of arts & crafts painting. The brushes came packaged in a nice felt roll-up pouch, which makes them easy to grab and go when I do painting parties with my friends. They clean up decently after the first few uses, and shedding has not been much of a problem yet; we'll see how they hold up over time. They're a good value because at the price, even if they don't last as long as a super high quality set might, you can afford to replace them once they're shot.

The paint brushes are pretty long in comparison to normal brushes! This can be a double edged sword, as it helps beginners and non-beginners to keep it a bit loose while painting, and letting the fine details come later. The brushes themselves I've found to be just as good as other brushes from Michaels or Target.

My wife started painting so I got her this set of brushes. It comes in a nice stiff felt-like carrying case with an elastic strap to keep it closed. There are 8 different size and shaped brushes with numbering from 0-14. She is a beginner so not sure what the numbering means but you can see my photos to confirm.The bristles of the brushes are very soft but the handles are rough unfinished wood. Some of the brushes even snag a little when sliding in and out of the carrying case. I had to use a few wipes of a fine sandpaper to smooth them off for my wife. I could see paint absorbing into the wood and could make it difficult to clean off but the paint could also mean the brushes are well used. Keep it in mind if it makes a difference to you in purchasing this set. I knocked off a star for the somewhat rough wooden handle.For the price though, this set is a pretty good value when you compare to buying the brushes individually.

This set includes a wide variety of sizes that suit many different projects. I like the included carrying case for traveling or storing the brushes. It’s a good buy!

These brushes are great, especially if you enjoy a longer brush. They come in a very stiff roll that is difficult to remove them from, so I probably won’t use the roll again. Some of the brushes had bent tips from the roll, but they snapped into shape after being put in water.The handles themselves are unfinished and a little rough. One brush had one hair that was longer, but after being trimmed worked well.I specifically enjoyed the round two- it had a nice point and worked on details well. Overall I’d say these are a great value, especially if you are not looking for professional quality brushes.

I acquired the 8-brush set to use in my beginner's studio that I setup for grandson and I to use. The brushes are all numbered and come with a felt storage pouch. For myself, the pouch wasn't particularly useful, but that's my personal preference. I like my brushes to be easily accessed without fussing with a storage pouch. The bristles are nylon, they have the proper flexibility, they are easy to clean, and I found them to be fairly effective while working with acrylics. They might not work as well with oil paints, or really thick paints. They were more than adequate for my grandson, who has just started to work in water colors and acrylics with me.Overall, these are good brushes for a child or someone just starting out. The quality seems commensurate with the pricing.

Great little set of brushes! I like the variety in size and brush shape and that fact they all came in a holder. The holder feels a little like super soft styrofoam, so I'm not sure i'll be keeping them in there. The bristles are super soft and flexible. I wish the wood handles were a little smoother or varnished - they just feel a little rough (like you'll get a splinter, though you totally won't). But nothing that makes them unusable! It's a good set for a good price.
